So I took a trip to my local Trader Joe's today and was pleasantly surprised when I saw bottles of Speedway Stout on the shelves. Not a big savings, but $10.49 a bottle. They also had bottling dates (didn't know Alesmith started dating bottles) of 02/14/13. Saved myself a trip to my bottle shop for my weekend libations. Score!

You mean I don't have to drink Simple Times anymore!

The bottle date is the big news here!

I love their beers, especially the hoppy ones, but rarely buy them due to no bottling date. I see myself buying a lot more Alesmith now.

Side note- I just picked up the 2013 Mission St. Anniversary today.

Hooray for bottling dates! I will certainly be picking up more AleSmith bottles now outside of the brewery.

Must be hard not having the brewery on your way home from work.

Where are the bottling dates printed? Would like to know where to look next time I'm beer shopping.

Yellow/green text printed on the neck of the bottle, just below the foil. Very easy to see.

That Anny brew is pretty darn good and the price point is spot on! ISO at my local TJ's for sure.

I work for TJ and dropped to my knees and cried when I saw a stack of Speedway and the IPA in the back room.

I see some Hangar 24 at my local TJs, but no Bruery or Alesmith... Looks like TJs is trying to do more of the Whole Foods approach, sourcing relatively local beers. This is a good thing, very good. I think the consumer is slowly winning the craft beer battle, haha. Now we just have to push this growler law revision stuff and we are on our way!

Now, if you tell me you have BA Speedway and CFH at your local TJs, I will move into the house next to you... haha (NOTE: FUSL is retired #hashtag).

    Cheers to all!!

Saw Speedway and mischief today, they also had Alesmith IPA, Sculpin, Ruination and Sublimely. Gotta love Trader Joe's.

Mischief for $7.99 per 750mL bottle can't be beat. Cheaper than getting it from The Bruery direct.

I'd argue that it can be beat by spending my $7.99 on something else.

Looks like TJ's is finally upping their beer game. I've seen expanded Stone selections, Bruery, Alesmith, Hangar 24 and Duvel among others.
