I had this IPA on tap in Milford, Ma about a month ago. I thought it was a terrific IPA. I would even say it is probably Massachusetts finest IPA when fresh. Have any MA BA's spotted any fresh bottles anywhere, and what are your thoughts?

    Just some love for Wormtown!

From CT, but i have posted in tje past just how fucking good this beer is! Rivals some of the Hill Farmstead IPAs IMO. World class ipa. Cant find it fresh but had it on tap a couple months ago at Picco in Boston. Just tremendous!

Interesting, I've yet to try this, but I've seen it on menus. I've never seen it in any MA bottle shop, but I usually frequent Yankee Spirits and Gasbarro's.

P.S. Which place in Milford did you go to?

I've actually been there. I had my first FBS on tap there. They also had Maine Beer Co. MO when I went. Needless to say, it was a great trip. My cousin through my step-dads side actually works there, which I didn't find out until I went there. I suggest going there for lunch on a Friday...Awesome lunch buffet!

I saw a bottle today and passed because there was no bottling date. Bought one straight from the brewery and thought it was absolutely phenomenal.

The hop profile is fantastic. I gotta try some of Wormtown's other beers.

wow. just had a freshie tonight. killer. have not cared for the other couple beers i've had for them in the past but they're getting a mulligan entirely based on this one - gonna seek out more of their stuff in the future.

did not know IPAs this good were made in Massachusetts (Hoponius doesn't count)

The bottle date is done by Month only and is on the back of the bottle toward the bottom. This is probably my favorite IPA from MA as well when fresh. A great local option. The issue with them is finding it fresh in the local bottle shops. I get lucky every once in a while but typically it sits for a while. The $7.99 price tag does not help them and the lack of exposure. I think they are catching on more though. Their Sweet Tats and ProAm Porter are excellent as well.

Second that on Prezo. They had Nightstalker and Majaraja on tap. Food is very good too. Big bar plus many high top tables

I've never picked it up in a bottle, but have it just about every time I'm at the Flatbread in Davis Square, Somerville. Killer.

I've only had it once and it was about a moth old at the time, very good under the radar IPA. Wish I could find it fresher, most places its like 3 or 4 moths old.

Had this many times when I was living in Springfield. Seems like Smith's always had it on tap. The only thing I miss about Mass is the beer.

I picked up a bottle when I was in MA last weekend. I didn't know anything about it, but it was a fresh IPA so I decided to give it a try. Loved it!

I really like how below the radar Be Hoppy is, it's up there with Lunch and Heady Topper for me. Similar hops profile, but much easier to get, there's always this on tap at Asgard in Cambridge at a very reasonable price. Really wish it was easier to get fresh in the liquor stores though. Also would love 6 packs versus the 22oz bombers, not that I can't throw back a bomber of this delicious brew, I just want MORE of it.

For you Wormtown lovers Sunday the 17th is their Anniversary Party at Peppercorns
Their Birthday Brew #3 is a DIPA
    https://www.facebook.com/events/465428550191860/

For those in the Metro West\Assabet Valley area Rail Trail Flatbread Co in Hudson always has Be Hoppy on tap as well as their seasonal offerings. About a month ago they had Hogs Head Red which was an Amber barrel aged in red wine barrels and steeped with red raspberries. Aged for three months.
Today they will have Birthday Brew #3 and Dark Days Black IPA. At some point they will put Tennessee Tats on.

If any of you find yourself at Tavern on the Square for some reason, Wormtown brews a west coast IPA for them thats pretty good for $5
