I like your comment. Completely off topic and something I've been wanting to ask for awhile now, is that Sasha as your avatar?

I had this for the first time about a month ago split between a friend and I....it was amazing. Now, we were both pretty far along a two man bottle share (w/ random help from our fiancés') but this beer stood out over everything we had - even BA Speedway & BCBS (perhaps my palate is bored w/ BCBS). I recall it being very spirit forward in a beautiful way. I'm glad he traded for 3 more bottles of it, damn it's good.

Porterhouse BA Celebration Stout. It's aged in Kilbeggan whiskey casks. The barrel is definitely upfront. Hot at first but smooth on the back end, but it's got to be room temp.

New holland tried a bourbon finished in barrels that last held beer. Didn't work so well.

In my opinion bourbon county stout wins this one.

Surprised no one has brought up Anderson Valley's oatmeal stout aged in Wild Turkey barrels. BIG BIG boozy taste!

I thought Arcadia BA Shipwreck Porter was even hotter. I aged one a year and still was hot as hell.

I don't know if these are the most forward but the heat on these is perfect in my opinion.

Just add bourbon to your favorite beer, and make it as hot as you want! I added a small amount of scotch and maple syrup to a FIS, and was very surprised with the results. It was a buzzed experiment gone right... not the disaster that I was kinda expecting

Are you referring to the first batch? The most recent release had little bourbon/whiskey, IMO. I noticed a lot of malt though with little bourbon/whiskey. Great beer.

Yeah, haven't had the pleasure of trying batch 2. Batch 1 on the day of its release was very very spirit forward.

Arcadia Shipwrecked was probably the most bourbon forward and I also think Dragons Milk tends to be pretty hot.
