Yards Brewing Begins ‘From Pole to Pint’ Program

Yards Brewing Company is proud to announce Pole to Pint, a craft beer scholarship and sales training program designed to help women in the “entertainment” arts (burlesque dancers and queens, belly dancers, chorus girls, exotic dancers, show girls, and stripteuses, among others) move from working the top of the bar to working behind it — and in front of it — on behalf of Yards Brewing Company.
You’ll learn what it takes to pour, promote, and market Yards Signature, Seasonal, and Revolutionary Ales both on-site and out in the community.
Pole to Pint includes:
- 4 weeks of craft beer education at Yards Brewing Company covering the brewing process, tasting, pouring, and pairings.
- A special private sales training program with “The Rick” entitled “Closing the Deal.”
- Apparel (probably halter tops) and other swag.
- Certificate of completion and possibly achievement.
- Two-week trial employment as Tommy’s Knockers a.k.a. Yards Girls. (Compensation TBD.)
To be considered, you must provide:
- Résumé
- Headshot
- A 300 word essay on why you’re perfect for Pole to Pint

Fine Print: Must be 21 years of age or older. If you haven’t figured it out. April Fools. Now come on down to the Brewery for some Saison. It’s on-tap and it’s delicious. No joke.

 

If you want a good april fools joke take a good bottle of scotch and fill it with this. rated as one of the worlds worst tasting liquors

 

This interests me, not that I think the beer would be good but from a hop educational-type thing you can see what the dryhopping brings.

It seems like April Fool's Day is sort of a difficult concept on forums like these as trolling has made April Fool's Day a year round debacle.

how odd is it, really? how many people hear about the Founders event and think oh its probably a joke? could it be Founders way of keeping down the crowd?

 

nah it was a bar doing it, and it was amazing. 10 Curmudgeon, 12 Better Half, 10 Backwoods, 11/12 KBS, 11 FIS, and 11 FBS all on draft. I also had 11 Blushing Monk and 11 Devil Dancer bottles.

 

wow, impressive lineup. I guess I'm the fool now.

 

Woah buddy, lay off Malort. It's not nearly as bad as its taste would lead you to believe.

 

The Blushing Monk gained some sour characteristics. The Devil Dancer, now that I will let you know here soon.

Things I learned from the event:
Better Half is shit. Curmudgeon is the shit.
KBS aged for a year is better than fresh.
Backwoods is better fresh.
