I've never seen any other firestones either here in VA.

I really liked summerfest from last year, like a lot. Pilseners and Lagers are not really my types of beers, but it was refreshing, and flavorful.
But for easier availability, Noble Pils will always have a special place with me. Great for summer, but is now available year round.

Yeah, a friend of mine who's in CA were talking about our favorite beers, and I brought up Firestone. He called me back the next time he was at his local shop and he started naming off all these great beers we don't get here. Oh well, at least we get our IPA's from em'.

Don't limit yourself to American Breweries. They usually DO NOT do a good job of replicating German and Czech pilseners (except for Victory, which obviously you don't like). Try Konig Pils, Jever, Radeberger, Czechvar, Pilsner Urquell. All are good and will help guide through the German and Czech Pils styles.

It's Pilsners bro. You said pilseners like ten times.

I would go with the Noble Pils of the 4 you mentioned. Lefthand Polestar Pils would be my choice of pilsners you didn't mention.

Either spelling and the pronunciation of this word is acceptable. I think the short one is considered to be the Americanized version. :stuck_out_tongue:

    So true!

But for me just replace Midwest with New England and Grandfather with Father and pilseners only when it gets above 75 F.

I'm no expert but I like the Brooklyn, Scrimshaw, and love the SN Summerfest when its time.

Not available in Maine, but when I was in Oregon this summer i really enjoyed the Trumer Pils from Berkeley, CA.

The SN summer lager is more of a helles than a pils, I'd say. Good, but a different style. If you get Scrimshaw or Lagunitas Pils where you are, they're worth checking out.

And btw, no need to wait till April for baseball. The World Baseball Classic is on, and it's some pretty good ball.

I'm from the Midwest but now live in the Northeast, am a Red Sox fan and take Summer vacation on Cape Cod.

I like the Brooklyn and the SN Summerfest but have never heard of the Scrimshaw, where is it brewed?

yeah, I'm watching the WBC but it's not the Red Sox, also I'm really focused on Hockey right now. I
didn't know Lagunitas made a Pils, will check out.
