Or it's some odd guerrilla marketing technique. Leave the site "accidentally" visible, drive up speculation, post lots of relevant things late at night, then make it inaccessible.

Not that DLD needs more demand around it.

Reminds me of the "I Love Bees" shit from the Halo 2 release. Man that fucked with my head so much.

If anyone needs a place to crash Friday or Saturday night, I'll have space available at the Hampton. PM me if interested.

Trust me when I say that you'll want to be at the Hampton on Friday.

Here's an entirely sincere question about when tickets go on sale: Given that "Tickets for this event go on sale Sunday, March 17th at 12:00 noon central standard time.", does that mean noon, or does that mean 11 am (since we are no longer in standard time)?

I asked that in the post on FFF's FB page, with no answer so far. That jumped out at me right away.

I'll be on at 11, just in case

Noon CST is 1pm CDT. Maybe their server is in Mexico City as they are still on CST

I think they've mixed up CST vs. CDT in years past as well when making the announcement. In the past, IIRC, it was noon, Central Time, on the day the tickets go on sale.

The information here is like dry-humping on prom night. It may be fun, but it does not always go anywhere.

Pardon my ADHD, I am missing the point where there is now a 2 bottle limit. Is there a credible source on this?

Love the improvements at this point. Thought EBAY closing down liquor sales would be a death sentence of the secondary market for DLD. It would seem that names on tickets is the final nail in the coffin.

Maybe we need another thread: Credible/confirmed DLD info.

There is no bottle limit confirmation. It is never posted until a day or two before. There hasn't even been confirmation that there are 10K tickets sold vs 6K as previous years. That assumption is based on the fact that there are 5 sessions as opposed to 3. Until we hear from FFF, don't listen to any assumptions.

I'm really happy that FFF is doing their best to do away with no reselling of tickets this year and I think this is the best way to go about doing that. However, one downfall to this is what happens if you purchase a ticket or 2 under your name and sometime before DLD you are unable to attend for whatever reason. Are you going to be out the $30/$60 or is there going to be a way to get a refund or "transfer" the ticket(s) somehow.

I think that you may be SOL if you cant make it. If they do "transfer" tickets, then whats the point?

I've never been to Dark Lord Day. $30 for a party is alot of money, even if it includes a cup, ya feel me? I'm sure it will be a great time, but I'll be happy to not clog the interwebs that day.

Yea I know the transferring of tickets defeats the whole purpose of reselling but didn't know if there would be another way to go about taking care of that in case you cant attend. Trust me, as long as there isn't death involved I will be there. Just trying to cover all points here. Guaranteed that with however many thousands of tickets being sold this year that there will be people who purchased tickets and have every intention on going to DLD that wont be able to make it because of certain circumstance that arise.

Maybe they will come up with something, and I'm with you on the death thing, If I get tickets, I'm going. :grinning:
