Bells Black Note Coming to Madison!

Which one?

 

I got one at Steve's and that's it. Woodman's west doesn't have any more left- just drove by to check and grab a few quick groceries. I don't much feel like chasing down more since I have my one bottle already and checked at Woodman's. I have enough BCBS in my hoard and already had 3 glasses when it was on tap earlier. Great beer!

P.S. Rio, since nobody answered your previous question, it was $10 a goblet. Definitely on the pricey side, but I thought it was worth it especially since at the time, we weren't getting any bottles in.

 

And all things considered, it's not that much more than $7 a bottle which I assume is the going price in Madison these days if you can find it. Yikes.

Edit- I thought I'd just add that the guys at both Steve's University and Woodman's West said they each got 4 4-pks, or 16 bottles.

 

Me and a buddy picked up a bottle each at Woodman's on Milwaukee for $7. Hyvee didn't get any.

 

I bought one from each Woodman's and had a friend get me an additional.

A lot of hoopla around a beer if you ask me. Also curious as to where they've been since the sons of bitches were brewed in December.

Regarding the hoopla: yeah, it's a matter of supply and demand. I wonder if the distributors that cover Madison sat on them for whatever reason, maybe making sure they have enough.

 

Makes me wonder if I'm ever, ever going to get my hands on KBS when it hits Madison. Jesus Christ, that is going to be a shitshow. At least I can blame it on my work schedule.

 

I just happened to be off today AND got a heads up the night before about it coming out, so I was able to hit each store. I plan on sharing each one, I always share the limited/out of state stuff.

 

Also, just a heads up....Jenifer Street will have it early tomorrow afternoon. Same deal, 16 bottles only, so 1 bottle per person.

I bet if you head there after work, you could get one. I don't think I will buy another.

I just called around a bunch today to try to find where it all was and got some good info from the manager. A lot of store managers who are fellow BAs are pretty cool.

Did anyone go to Jenifer Street yesterday? They didn't Tweet about it, but the manager was very certain they were supposed to have it yesterday afternoon.

 

Totally forgot about this thread. I never went to JSM- stuff came up so I stayed later than expected and decided I'd rather go straight home afterwards (I live in the other direction).

I wonder if there's any Black Note left for sale anywhere in Madison, including JSM.
