I can't help to notice most of the favorite styles are either IPA's, DIPA or stouts (imperial). I am curious if anyone has a favorite style?

I can think of a handful of BAs who will chime in shortly saying yes to lager styles as their favorites. Schwarzbiers, helles lagers are up there for me. But my very top fav's are IPAs and perhaps a classic porter.

As a side regarding ciders, I want to try more. I just wish I knew of a resource that could give me more information on different types and qualities in ciders. I'm not sure I could even tell a good cider from a bad one, other than I'd prefer one on the dry side and not too sweet.

Rauchbiers and Helles are way up there with me, but I'm also quite fond of American IIPAs.

Well amber and red are basically the same thing and a hoppy red is basically a darker IPA, and an imperial is basically just a more robust single, so an imperial/double IPA is basically an amber.

    So yeah, I like ambers.

I think the styles are skewed that way because of the abundance of those styles. Wit would be one of my favorite styles if I could find more good ones around.

    1. Sours/Wilds
    2. Stouts/Porters
    3. Saison

Even though it's not very easy for me to get: Gueuze! But since I can't get those very often: stouts, saisons, barleywine, and IPA.

A fresh gravity-style ("ungespundetes") kellerbier is something amazing. For me it's a toss up between that and a doppelbock. I love huge-ass stouts aged in barrels, too.

IPA's and most of their incarnations: DIPA, TIPA, adjuncts added etc.
Stouts - Oatmeal, RIS, Barrel aged...Just love a roasty and chocolatey stout plus there are so many things you can add to them that allow the flavors to play off of one another.
Saisons - Starting to really grow on me as a style, but not one I want to have and then mix with other styles at all; doesn't sit well with me.

I will try almost anything once or twice or more, but I have found that Barleywines, whether American or English, just don't do it for me at all.
