As of recently, I have been on a barrel aged beer craze. I have discovered that my two favorite bourbon brews thus far have been the Bourbon County Stout, as well as the Fremont Bourbon Abominable Ale (I have 2 bombers for trade). Mainly for the fact that they're so abrasive and unforgiving, in the sense of them being bourbon forward, as appose to being balanced. So I guess my question is... What else should I be looking to try? Ones that I've had thus far are...

    Old Rasputin Bourbon Stout 7/10
    Great Lakes Bourbon Blackout 7/10
Dragon's Milk oak aged ale 7/10
    Coney Island Human Blockhead 6/10
Firestone 16th Anniversary Barrel Blend 8/10
    Bourbon County Stout 10/10
    Fremont Bourbon Abominable Ale 10/10
    Widmere Brrrbon 6/10
Sierra Nevada Whiskey Bigfoot - Unopened
Labyrinth oak aged black ale - Unopened
Smokestack Rye on Rye - Unopened

Any others I should look out for?

    Thanks!

There is the Dragon's Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout variant.

I'm curious of your perception of DM oak vs. BCS?

Ha, funny you bring that up, I literally just watched a Youtube review for that! Ya know, I can't give a fare comparison, being that I had them on separate days. But BCBS is one of the single most flavorful and memorable beer experiences of my life! The first thing I thought of as soon as I cracked open the bottle was... Angry, unforgiving, Bourbon soaked chocolate brownie. It's abrasive as all hell, no hops, malt forward, but I like that, very much a desert beer. Than again, to each their own. I was pleased with Dragon's Milk tho. Nice balanced oak influence, I would absolutely buy it if i were able to.

If I had to choose one BA beer I've had before it would have to be Backwoods Bastard

KBS if you like a little bit of other adjuncts in there too
BA BORIS smelled like straight up Jack Daniels

If you enjoy the Fremont Bourbon Abominable so much, why do you have it for trade?

Cause I have access to a few cases. Why are you so skeptical?

Also the Bourbon County variants like Coffee, Cherry Rye, Vanilla, etc.. never had Rare but I'd imagine that packs a lot of bourbon flavour from the pvw23 barrels

True that Dan, I understand. But I have successfully completed one trade thus far, and I'm sure I could get him to vouch for me if needed.

Oh you're not being a jerk at all, you guys' concern is entirely valid. But I'm a stand up human, and I hope to prove that here! As I said, if anybody's interested in doing some business. Feel free to contact me, I can provide pictures of the brew, my phone number, address, whatever's needed!

Pugachev's Cobra is goddamn bourbony delicious. Complaints of it being too 'hot' are made by crybabies.

There are tons of amazing BBA beers out there. My personal favorite is KBS. I've still yet to try Parabola and BA Bigfoot.

OOooooh, I got the Bigfoot Whiskey right now! Probably gonna sit on that one for a year or two tho! Just had the 2013 Firestone Sucaba, and honestly, it was damn good.
