Yeah, I was thinking we could try to figure out what makes the most sense in terms of frequency (once a month? twice? every other?) and then alternate Thursday/Sunday. So if we want to do them once a month, the next one would be first Thursday of May, which is May 3rd. Twice a month it could be April 19th. Etc.

Alternating days sounds like a good plan so those with different schedules have a better chance to come. Once a month makes the most sense to me. Also, are they all going to be at Beer Rev from now on? Not that I have a problem but GHS is closer for a lot of Peninsula people, maybe we could do Thursday tastings at BR & Sundays at GHS?

I thought GHS wasn't as okay with us being there.

Not to mention this is an EAST BAY tasting thing. Wouldn't make much sense to hold an East Bay tasting in Redwood City (especially since Oakland probably has enough of a complex already with all the A's-to-San Jose Talk).

    **edit**

I just noticed it says "SF Bay Area", so I stand corrected, by myself. I believe it began as East Bay though, didn't it? Or is it just my east bay snobbery showing through?

I was thinking yesterday that we might try the Bistro some time, but I have no idea how open they'd be to that.

It did start as an East Bay tasting, but I changed the name as to not exclude anyone. When we found a home at Beer Revolution, I never looked elsewhere since it was a fairly centralized location for most people.

My vote would be just once a month, alternating the Thursday nights and the Sunday afternoons, so every other month for each of those. So long as Fraggle and Rebecca will have us I'd keep it all at Beer Rev.

Other tastings at other locations are always welcome (and it seems like there are some in the south bay already - though from what I read online they might be having a harder time using GHS or R&C anymore, and hence might be doing smaller ones at homes and thus by invite).

I do wish there was also a spot in SF itself that would occasionally host these; I've inquired in the past about the Toronado backroom and was told that was a no go.

So would anyone have an issue with saying that this particular series will alternate first Thursday/Sunday of the month at Beer Rev? So the next one would be May 3rd?

And, of course, as Gillman says doing something somewhere else in addition to this one would just be gravy.

    Even months: first Sunday, 2PM
Odd Months: First Thursday at...(I'm thinking 6PM but you Thursday people can talk it over among yourselves)

All at Beer Rev as long as we don't wear out our welcome.

    I'm good with this.

Six is when they started before, I believe. It's tough for people to get there much earlier, I think (and that's when Beer Rev starts their weeknight events).

This was my favorite label of the night, too classy. I also found some pics from the SF Beer Week opening that I thought I'd lost, I'll be putting those up soon too. Cheers!

Yeah only the Sexual Chocolate and a few others. Surprising because I don't remember much after a few pours of DL...
