Just curious what other brews you were able to track down. Any other stuff that you really liked? There actually is some really good beer here in Utah!!

You can find Labyrinth occasionally in DE/MD/DC - not sure about NJ.

I had a bunch of things I've never tried before, went to the state store made did a little make your own 6 packs and bought a few large format bottles. My favorite beers I had out there were labyrinth and also deschutes hop henge ipa. Also had unita hop notch, barley wine anniversary, monk shine, cutthroat pale ale, wasatch polygamy porter, wasatch hop rising, des chutes nwpa, des chutes black butte porter, des chutes inversion ipa. i still have a bottle of outer darkness that I haven't tried yet. Also tried wasatch jalapeƱo cream ale which was one of the worst beers I've ever had....just all pepper and heat and no other flavor. Overall I don't think I could get my hands on enough hop henge or labyrinth.

I'll be passing thru Salt Lake City in a few weeks, and I am reading some good beers and bottle shop info in this thread. It sounds like any beers with a higher ABV need to be purchased at the state liquor stores, correct? Are these stores numerous enough so that I can find one fairly close to I-80?

There's a stretch of "I-80" downtown that is really I-15. One of the better state liquor stores is right in that area.

You can also get high-point beers at the breweries that make them; The Squatters/Wasatch production brewery is a couple of blocks from the state store I mentioned before. Epic is not that far from there. Uinta is a couple of miles from the 80-215 interchange.
