E1G is receiving 3 cases of six packs and one case of bombers. It should be in around noon.

 

I probably won't go crazy this year like I have in previous years. 1-2 sixers and that'll be alll for me.

 

People love to hate on going to Smith St. for this stuff, but I have to say I appreciate being able to roll up somewhere, know it'll be there and when, pick up a guaranteed 1/2 case and two bombers, and get on with my day. Different strokes for different folks.

Also, free donuts and being graced by the presence of the holy Brock.

 

Lol, if anyone waited in line for this, anywhere, then you are doing it wrong.

I walked into Specs Midtown at 1025 and walked out at 1027 (literally) with DR and a Hellfighter. They still had 40 or 50 cases left at that point. Its cool if yall wanted to wait an hour in line or whatever, but I know for a fact the places below had DR at 1030 this AM:

HEB Buffalo Speedway
Randalls on Shepherd
Randalls in Midtown
Central Market (11 am release or some BS like that)
Whole Foods
Kroger on Main
Disco Kroger just got theirs
Hollywood Kroger

Im sure the hoarders out there could piece together a truckload if they wanted to. Im more concerned about another beer that is being released today that one of the posters mentioned previously in this thread (although I do think DR13 is a great beer as well).

 

Walked in to Specs on I-10 near Voss and they have a ton of Bombers (limit 2) and Sixers (limit 1). Bought two bombers and a sixer along with 2 bombers of Hellfighter.

 

Exactly my thoughts. I also get to hang out a bit with some friends, say hi to Joey, and then I am done. I showed up right at 10:00 and had all I wanted by 10:10. OMG, that is really hard.

 

I walked in to Spec's Smith St. at 10:25am. No line and still a wall of DR13 left. I don't know why people line up there so early. I've always been able to walk in a few minutes after they've opened and get what I wanted.

Edit: I looked around a bit and saw Karbach Hellfighter, more OG Black Metal, but didn't see any Stone Dayman Coffee IPA or Clown Shoes Luchador en Fuego.

 

What stores are getting Luchador?

It is ridiculous... These people couldn't differentiate between a Belgian and an IPA if their life depended on it.

 

I know at least 3 people in that line that could.

That said, most of them are probably part of the bandwagon committee. :-/

 

So Smith tweeted that they are OUT!

 

HEB Clear Lake had 15 cases @ 10 am, there was a few people in line with me but im sure they still have some if anyone in that area wants some and doesn't want to drive into town

 

They are trying to sniff around for more cases
