Head high, double overhead, morning bell. Between Kane, Carton, and Tuckahoe, I'm happy to have great beer made in NJ

When fresh, Port Mongo can go toe to toe with any DIPA. God I love that beer, just wish Port could get their ^%$&^! together when it comes to bottle quality and freshness.

    Cheers......

Just get some Racer 5 and Smuttynose IPA for daily drinking, then be opportunistic for special releases/trades.

Alchemy is good, but so were the others I mentioned.

Lagunitas Sucks is probably one of my favorite beers right now though. So very good, and hard to top, IMO.

8 Wired and Galaxy defenetely are not "citrus bombs" at all. Both are very tropical fruitu ones. Pretty damn tasty though.

Citrus Bomb = Abrasive, it's all grapefruit. HT is more balanced and equally good, but when you pop a can of Abrasive it's like someone shoved a grapefruit up your nose.

I am on a search for HT, because the reviewers sound like they just drank Jai Alai to me. Jai Alai is the fruitiest tastiest most delicious IPA out there, imo. I have Sucks, Hopslam, and Palate Wrecker in my fridge as we speak and none compare when it comes to the citrus. Really hoping someone will send a fresh 4 pack of Heady my way for a 6 of fresh Jai Alai. I don't think they will regret it.

I can get most of Lagunitas stuff here except sucks it must fly off the shelf. If Abrasive is that fruity I'm going to try it, anyone have any suggestions about Surly in cans? I can get Hells, cynic, furious, bender, and coffee bender I'm pretty sure I'll like bender, coffee bender, and furious but I'm concerned about cynic & hells.

france44 has 50 4 packs of Abrasive on the shelf now i checked this morning, and I'm ordering two, it's as easy as a phone call. This is a seriously good DIPA.

Stone Enjoy By IPA, if it hasn't already been mentioned, though it's freaking expensive! Also, Alchemy Hour, but that seems to be in more limited supply than Sucks.

I'd also second the recommendation of Lil' Sumpin Sumpin from Lagunitas. It has a similar complexity in mouthfeel and flavor to Sucks from wheat malt as compared to Sucks' oats and rye. There's also a similar sweetness that pairs well with the hop flavors. Finally, Sucks isn't too bitter, which I really like.

I've had several of the IPAs mentioned, namely Two Hearted Ale and Sculpin, both excellent...but Cigar City Jai Alai blew me away. In terms of citrus, in the nose and taste, nothing came even close. I'm normally dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to identifying the flavors of a beer when they hit my palate, but the JA positively screamed citrus. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
