yeah apparently my reading comprehension could use some work and i'm really awful at beer names o_0 i didn't get the second batch of unicorn's revenge, only the first so i can't comment on differences between the two.

i will say i thought the batch number seemed weird. but i meant to be referencing blood of the unicorn. put a fork in me, i'm done.

Oh the plus side, I was able to secure a bottle of the Raspberry Truffle Abduction and the label is awesome.

 

Just found out my buddy in the city snagged me an RTA. Don't know where he got it, and don't care. Swapping him some of the Jai Alai and Sculpin I have on hand for helping me out. Pumped to try this and Coffee Break Abduction next time I have some friends over.

 

Wow I think DG Binnys received RtA around 2 and 2 hours later SOLD OUT!

I got a bottle at Binnys Grand this afternoon. Only 1 bottle remained when I left but not sure if the had more in back.

 

yep, there was a full row yesterday at the same location. i skipped on it though.

Also, stopped by at WLV today and they had maybe 2 cases at the desk for the raspberry truffle abduction. i picked up a second.

also, apparently WLV hired laffler as their maintenance dude. saw him putting up a door in the second room.

 

Beer Temple had some this afternoon too...

 

exactly!!! Adam and I have a lot of unnecessary contact because of this situation... my response is always... 'if it's not on the shelf ask' and sometimes people say they did, then I say, "did you ask a beer person" and usually the answer is "no" find someone in the beer department to ask, the front desk managers are managing shit, the wine people are doing wine, and checkout clerks are ringing people up... find one of the 50 beer people Vav has on staff and ask them... the other staff of the mega store isn't up to date with the few cases we might have stashed away in the back =) and like always I do respond to txts

 

sorry meant to send that FwB e-mail out today... just waiting on WLV's order... but it is at castle Vav (physically verified by myself since i drove it there)... we also got side tracked today because we finally made a huge leap forward on the bottle shop! so Adam and I can stop the unwanted contact finally =p but for realz when the shop opens we aren't going to forget Vav and Kristina for accommodating us for way longer than they signed up for... and they will always get our special releases that won't be going to any other stores.

Awesome. WLV has been my PW go-to and will continue to be a fav even after you guys change things up. Btw, I plan on living at your tap room. Just 10 min walk away...

 

pipeworks: the beer lady at my humble job was huffin and puffin when I told her for the 14th time to get your dag nab beers in. She said, "WELL THEY WONT RESPOND TO MY (blessed) EMAILS!" To which I replied, "Well would YOU respond to your emails? eh!? Think about it!!!" Followed by a swift backhand from me and termination shortly thereafter. But I think your time is better spent making fine brews, or flirting with Vav than responding to emails anyways.

Actually I just told her that from what I know, you guys have just blown up and are a bit behind b/c of the new bottle shop and such, which she understood.

So I just hope we can all get along soon!

I absolutely love that you guys are distributing to Berkots now. I live like 3 minutes from the New Lenox one and it is nice being able to find your stuff that local.

 

Had batch 104 of Something Hoppy tonight and all I tasted was dill. Was this the Sorachi Ace and if so, is it supposed to be this pronounced?

 

Sorachi Ace tastes like lemon grass/pledge.

I didnt notice any off flavors in the bottle i had.
