You are correct about that. I sent an email to Short's years ago asking about Ironic Ale, I got a response back from Joe telling me that the beer was Hanging Frank.

Since I absolutely love most of shorts beers this is tough, but I figured I would throw in my two cents. Key lime pie is amazing, bludgeon yer eye, kind ale, spruce pilsner, gingersnap, smores stout, pistachio cream ale, superfluid. I'm gonna end the list there I could go on all night...shorts is the best without a doubt.

Although very hard to pick with Shorts having so many great beers, here's a few of my favorites...
    Cup A Joe
    Black Cherry Porter

I think a better question to ask is what Shorts beers don't you like? Woodmaster is my personal favorite and the only beer I've had from them I would never buy again was the Imperial Spruce... just not my thing, too much like a gin and tonic.

As others have stated it's pretty hard to choose a favorite because of how many great beers Short's puts out, but I think Anniversary Ale and Freedom of 78 are my favorite, but I buy the most of Uncle Steve's Irish Stout.

I'll have to agree with many others and say Cup A Joe, as well as Bourbon Black Cherry Porter... and this Hopstache is quickly becoming one of my favorites too. Can't wait to try Freedom of 78 this year. Need to get to the brewpub soon to find more favorites.

Shortscake was my favorite summer beer last year as well. Looking forward to that again.

So many I haven't had. But on my first visit in '06 Smoked Apple Ale was by far my favorite.

Really liked the Strawberry Milk on my '11 visit. And blending it with the BA Black Sustenance was killer.

I'd add the Anniversary Ale (the blood orange wheatwine).

It's impossible for me to pick just one and it changes all the time, but here are 5 that have stuck out in my mind over the years--

Spruce Pilsner -- If there were state beers like there are state birds and state flowers, this would be it (in my humble opinion).

Anniversary Ale 2007 Part 1 (Bourbon Barrel Imperial IPA) -- I had a 5 year old low fill of this brew and it took me to another planet......clocks in at around 15% abv.

Uber Goober -- The best peanut infused brew I've ever had.

Ben's Asthma -- A complex and unique offering (cross between an Imperial Oatmeal Stout and Barleywine).

Huma Lupa Licious -- I'll never forget my first one.
