My buddy recently visited the Stone brewery and picked me up a bottle of Cali Belgique IPA. I assumed it was super fresh coming straight from the brewery, but upon inspecting the Enjoy By date, it says 04-16-04 with the initials PB under it. Stone starting brewing Cali in 2008. What gives??? Can anyone shed some light on this?
I doubt Stone would sell old beer on purpose. Your best bet is to call or e-mail Stone and see what they say straight from the source.
What's more probable- that the time stamp machine had the wrong date on it, or OP is a time-travelling wizard? I rest my case.
It was sent back from the future to save mankind. The budweiser canning line goes sentient april 1st 2013...
I found a bad bottle date on a beer from them last year. I mentioned it in a review I blogged then tagged them on in Facebook. Someone contacted me and said I had noticed it before their own people had. Guess the same person is setting the dates still...
Thanks for the responses everyone. I went ahead and drank the bottle and found nothing wrong with it. Definitely keeping the bottle as a reminder of my time traveling days
