bottle wise? not sure, but Im thinking a local growler might be a good idea. See if you can find a LoneRider or Big Boss one. I know Mystery growlers float around, and Six Impossible Things is a really good breakfast stout.

By all means, avoid Big Boss The Countess. terrible rapsberry beer. I havent had Saucy Pants yet, so I cant speak there. Spring isnt the best time for NC beer, the local breweries live for winter when their incredible stouts come out.

no problem. There are certain people that dislike my thoughts on NC beer, but different strokes, man. Enjoy your NC beer, and let me know what you get and what you think.

Will do! My wife is going to Columbia in a couple weeks so I asked about SC and everyone said Coast but I saw they dont distro in NC.

If your wife is going to Columbia, you can find COAST and Westbrook, which I recommend.

In raleigh, consider grabbing a growler at Trophy (they counter pressure). If you have any interest in Olde Hickory, Green Man, Mother Earth, Foothills, etc...have your friends check out shops like Ridgewood or Tasty Beverage. Might even find some Fullsteam.

And Florida doesn't get Founders, Allagash, or New Belgium, right? Those are available.

I kind of remember the post only because all of my FL trading buddies wont freak out over Backwoods, FBS, and the Backstage 750s anymore.

Bottle wise: things that have recently hit the triangle, Mother Earth Brewing Raisins & Fig brandy barrel aged dubbel, Dark Horse Plead the 5th, Green Man Dweller imp stout, Boulevard rye on rye. Not a fan of Big Boss nor Lonerider but BB has a Hogwild IPA is solid & available in 6 packs. Mystery does brew some interesting beers, love six possible things.

Hogwild is good but note it is from Aviator. Devil's Tramping Ground, which is also from Aviator, seems to always be a hit as well (but note the ABV!!). Both are available in 6 packs. The Rye IPA from Raleigh Brewing Company is quite good as well but it's only available in growlers at the brewery in Raleigh.

I recommend getting growlers from Trophy Brewing. They counter pressure fill so the growler should be good for 4-5 weeks. Fullsteam and Mystery also pressure fill their growlers as well.

This might be too late, but I would second a growler from Trophy! Otherwise, a bomber from Foothills or Olde Hickory, both readily available in Raleigh. There were some bottles of BA People's Porter around recently, as well as some Saison Gee from Olde Hickory (at Total Wine). Good luck!
