Beer you miss the most

    What is that beer you wish you had thought to save a bit of? What is the one that got away? Who went out of business and left you wanting more?

    For me the answers are this:

    (Wish I had saved some) Rouge Old Crustacean Barely Wine 2006
    (One that got away) 2002 Stone VE
    (Went out of business/left wanting more) New River Pale Ale

    On the Out of Business or No Longer Available front:

    Heavyweight Perkuno's Hammer, a superb Baltic Porter at a good price and availability.

    Catamount- Porter, Gold and Christmas, eminently drinkable, nothing else has been quite like them since.

    Youngs- comes to mind because of the Old Nick thread, so yeah, that one and Ram Rod. Great malt and yeast signatures in those beers.

    DFH Raison d'Extra. I still have 6 from 2007 and will have to try one soon to see if I still love it. Hell, maybe I won't miss it at all.

    Moving back to the US from Bavaria I miss a ton of stuff that simply isn't distributed here or isn't as fresh here.

    I miss all the world class IPAs I've traded for. Nothing I can do about those, I had to drink them fresh. I doubt I'll be having PtE again, and Heady Topper, Zombie Dust, and Dreadnaught might take me a while to get more of. I have 2 HTs left, I just wish I could save them.

    Hammer and Nails Vienna Styled Lager
