Well the facebook page doesn't say reg. distro, just it was at Keegan Ales brewery now, soon to be at your local store. I like Joe Mama's more than the other 3 now in reg. lineup, Hurricane Kitty, Mother's Milk, and Old Capital. How about you?

Any other JM fans happy to hear it may be much easier to get more often? Wow, JM a regular in the fridge, how cool is that!

I already can think of a few trading partners who will be happy, and a few things it will be a natural to trade for (starting with Oakshire Espresso Stout). How about you?

Any word on price or whether it's going to be a seasonal production?

I'm a fan, hopefully it shows up on occasion this far west.

yeah, the only thing that keeps me away from joe mama's and super kitty is that insane price tag. i can still find vintages of both in some stores collecting dust because the locals balk at the $30ish price tag (and i don't blame them). great beers, but make them more accessible.

i happen to love hurricane kitty and mother's milk too...freshness is sometimes a gamble when picking up either though.

I will update this as soon as I find out price, probably going there tomorrow.

Anyone know if this is contract brewed? I know Olde Saratoga does their Hurricane Kitty and Mother's Milk, and from the keg it's much better, IMO. Could just be a mental block.

Only been able to find JM on tap randomly, would love to see it in stores regularly, this is the beer that convinced my girl that not all beer is bad.

I'm lucky, Joe Mama's is the favorite beer of the bar owner of my local water hole, so we get it on tap regularly. Every once in a while he breaks out one that he's aged for a year, too.

I'm sure I'm blind, or maybe just missed it, but I haven't seen this years in Albany. Know of anywhere that has it on tap right now?

The Ruck in Troy generally has it at least once a month and it's gone within a week. They keep a pretty updated tap list here. Keep an eye out for it.

I did check the website before asking. Figured there might be some well kept secret out toward colonie/guilderland

I'm pretty sure the ruck had it on tap when I was there alittle over a month ago

As far as contract brewing JM, I can tell you we saw at least one forty barrel fermenter of JM when Tommy hosted our hb club in the brew room next to the fermenters in the Kingston brewery two months ago. Is this only for kegs? Don't know.

I do know his bottle line in Kingston is not the most up to date you will ever spot, though it is in fine working condition.

I hope Keegan grows. It's nice to have a respected bottling-brewery nearby.

Just got my first four packs finally, at the brewery for 11.49. Nice to have it in 12 oz. format, drinking a growler is great, but a little too much for one, and there are times when I want a Joe Mama and there's no one around.

12 oz. bottle labels: "Keegan Ales, Saratoga Springs, NY" with the TTB COLA, dated 3/15/12, made out for "RELETA BREWING COMPANY LLC." which is the actual corporate name of Mendocino's brewery in Saratoga Springs.

I have not even considered where their normal brews are brewed & bottled...but why after all this time of not introducing anything new do you go this route?

I believe everything in kegs is done by Keegan's, and everything in bottles is done by the Mendocino owned Releta DBA Olde Saratoga.
