You know you just drank a great IPA when you are finished and look at the side of the glass and can count exactly how many sips you took due to perfect rings of lacing.

 

When you think I've bought enough or when you worry that you'll never have it again.

 

When you're already planning to drink it at the birth of your firstborn & you are, um, shall we say, more than single.

 

You check to make sure it isn't a seasonal beer, then you feel sad when you find it is.

 

When you hide It From yourself In A Careful Place So You Will Forget All About It Until It Is Perfectly Mature & When You Discover It, It's Like Christmas morning

 

You know a beer is really good when....you drink it!

 

You know a beer is really good when you say wow at the first taste, without realizing it. Only four beers gave me the wow woody, FBS, PtE, NN and an Evil Twin homebrew.

 

the belch tastes great. Oh, come on. You know I'm right

 

...it's hard to bring yourself to drinking it because you know that it'll be gone. (even if it's only temporary and you can buy a new one)

 

When you choke out your best friend because it's your birthday and rightfully yours, become the local pariah, go deep into the nearest mountain so you can age it for a few hundred years while having full conversations with it in the dark, all the while referring to it as "my precious"....

Only happened to me a couple times, but at least I knew they were keepers
