I have the opposite issue as the OP. Don't really like their beer all that much, have gotten some lousy d bombs from them, and I don't care what size cans they use cause I ain't buying them.

craft beer in itself is a gimmicky world...flashy labels and strange containers are what attract beer snobs like us to products....and of course actual quality.... and although i don't really like Oskar Blues as a WHOLE brewery the G'Knight Imperial Red is one of the best beers i've had... whatever Oskar Blues needs to do to compete with the devil that is Budweiser should be accepted by us

I can't imagine them to be less than $6 btl. around here, and probably won't move fast enough to be fresh enough for me to buy it. Working on my 5th case of the 12 oz format though while its still fresh.

FIS. I think FIS and Fidy are both worlds ahead of all other Impy stouts. IMO they make old raspy seem mild and thin.

Actually it wasn't sarcastic. I understand that it is possible, but there are many reasons it's not ideal.
    1. I generally drink my IPAs in social settings - at cookouts/parties/etc. where there isn't really easy access to a refrigerator. Rarely do I bring 22oz bottles to these types of events; I can't imagine myself ever bringing a 32oz bottle.
    2. You need access to carb savers - that pretty much limits me to my house and maybe a couple of beer geek friends.
    3. Even if you do have access to carb savers, you pretty much need to drink a beer like Sucks that night. I'm not confident either would last long.
    4. 32oz of Sucks puts a 150lb person over the legal limit if when consumed in 2 hours.
IPAs are generally not a beer I think about sharing. 32oz of it is a lot.

Oskar Blues was NOT the first craft brewery to offer cans. Portland Brewing preceded them by two years, introducing their canned Amber in March 2000. However, as I understand the history, Oskar Blues may have been the first craft brewer to install its own canning line.

Elaborate on #4. You must have lenient laws on bac in your state.

personally i think the inverted lacing on the 19.2 ounce can is superior to the 16 ounce cans

That's inaccurate. Bac has no consistency, and takes between 1 & 2 hours to hit its peek. I weigh about 290 & 4 servings of a drink that high of abv could potentially get me to the 1.2-1.5 range, depending on other factors. Everyone has a different chemical balance and is effected differently. There have been people who had a lager at home the evening before getting a DUI the next morning. It's been studied, read up on it.

The bigger the can the bigger the smoking apparatus you can fashion.

honestly it seems quite odd that someone would complain about the size of the can or bottle being bigger than normal...you mean i can have MORE of this beer that i love??? that's preposterous !!

I got reported and my comment deleted from this thread for mentioning the screen on the side of each OB can. Be prepared for someone to get their panties in a bunch.

yeah i'd rather get a bomber for that price or at least have the option of purchasing single cans, but thats just me. also that's only $4 shy of a pack of bourbon county by me. like i said its a fine stout but thats a tad overpriced. can grab a pack of breakfast stout or imperial stout from founders for much cheaper

Multiple can sizes sounds like a gimmick to me. (not a vortex bottle grade gimmick, but still a gimmick)
