Anyone been to "Savor"?

To each their own ... not every year will be for everyone especially at that price. FYI we'll be doing an event on that Saturday afternoon in DC. Details TBA.

 

It'll be nice to have an official BA event in DC. My concern was that they are moving it to NYC (?) next year because of the conference in DC, and then they'll make it a rotating thing instead of bringing it back to DC. If that was the case, I'd pony up for it. But the events during Savor time are always great. Shorts tap takeover at Churchkey last year was amazing.

 

I went last year and had a blast. Was my first year for it and I enjoyed being able to taste KBS, Parabola and Black Betty all next to each other. The food was pretty decent and I felt that the pairing they had with the Shorts Spruce Pilsner and the FW Parabola were the best. I'm going to attempt to get some tickets this year. Hopefully things will go well. Even if I don't get tickets, I may take the drive down there if there's some good events happening. DC is a heck of a beer city and keeps getting better.

 

Scored 2 tickets for the Friday session. So damn excited. It was great last year!

August is usually the month I get out of DC... never around for this, but it also looks like it's getting a bit to pricey for me right now. Perhaps someday I'll get around to checking it out...

 

I was able to get 2 for the Saturday session, but WOW did they go fast, felt like maybe 30 seconds max.

What salons did people get? I was thinking about the Shorts one, but didn't realize you couldn't go back to buy them later.

 

Great to hear that there will be a BA event on Saturday! SAVOR week in DC is always a great time...

 

A thoughtful and thorough review of the events surrounding SAVOR every year you can get way more one on one time with brewers and access to much much more beer. And better quality. I'm glad I went once but I don't have any interest in going back. I will be looking at the calendar for beer events though. SAVOR gives DC a second beer week every year. And I thoroughly enjoy it.
