never tried either so I guess I am not in a position to even say such words. I don't really try many IPA's at all, so I am a horrible person on these forums haha.

but I love sending IPA's from California to my "friends" throughout the country.

Semi-relevant question that I've been thinking about recently: are all the new traders who are Doing It Wrong the actual cause of the increasing look out for number one, trade-winning mentality, or merely a symptom of a larger systemic issue?

 

Too many people talking shit about '12/'13 join dates in this thread, too few people talking shit about '05 join dates in this thread.

It's all in the name of beer Karma. I try to send out solid boxes (sent my 4th, 5th and 6th this past week) and wrap them super good and add something extra if I can (room wise in the box). My first two boxes I sent out I added 3-4 extra bottles of what I felt were fun locals. My third box I got was loaded with 6 extra bottles! Beer karma works and I am going to keep playing that game!

 

Maybe sidetracked internally, but it's keeping the thread at the top of Beer Trading G/H with his name tarnished in the title.

 

This is very intimidating to me. Perhaps you should lower your standards to that of an '05 and you won't be so disappointed.

 

I'm tired. I lost track of this thread halfway through. OP is mad because the Heady he got from Kari Byron was only a 5?

 

This has been discussed prior to 2012. It is my belief it started with folks realizing it was possible to take the beers they trade to an international auction site and make profit. 2012ing used to be called ebay mentality.

That said, as cbeer pointed out, the amount of folks who are having problems like OP really took off in 2012. It is almost like a lot of folks just don't want to learn how to do this. Most of the things that went wrong for many of the folks that have problems trading could have been avoided. Should have been avoided. Hell, it is easier to find Alewatcher's blog than it used to be to find Goliath's back in the day.

There is a link stickied to this forum to the Bad Trader list. There didn't used to be a bad trader list. It was actually discussed on this forum if there should be one, and there were some who thought it was a bad idea. To me the bad idea is, pardon me for this, if you are too stupid to go and look at it before a trade, as happened recently to a, well I will leave it to you to guess what join date that person was.
