    Ok, so lets say I put my beers as #2 and 3. The only way I would send is then if somehow my #1 rated beer was being sent to me? And would I be shipping both the beers i submitted or just one of them.

    You would be shipping one of them and you would be receiving your #1. The person who is sending you your #1 would have rated one of your beers higher than the one they are sending you.

    unfortunately the version i have isn't the BA version... supposedly there was to be a BA tiger blood and tiger blood rain, which includes an addition of saffron, cocoa nibs and walrus tusk shavings that was coming out soon.. those will have to wait until the next whale BIF...

    Once all beers are in I will send out the master list for ranking...

    and, for the record. The shipping may not be paired.. as with the Math BIF there will likely be chains.

    Example:
    I submit 2009 Blabaer (375)
    I rank J&J Blauw above it

    Tom submits J&J Blauw
    and ranks Batch 1 Chocolate Rain above it

    Becky submits Batch 1 Chocolate Rain
    and ranks Blabaer above it

    I ship to Becky who ships to Tom who ships to me...

    Make sense?
    and I anticipate some chains being longer that 3-4 people...

    sortof... but rather than putting 4 or 5 beers you would accept for your beer you rank the entire list.
    Other than that, the concept is quite similar

    I should let everyone know that I will likely cut the roughly bottom half of the submissions here soon as there are over 30 people already submitting beers

    Just so I understand: do you mean you will be cutting out the bottom half of the group based on your opinion of the submitted beer's whales status? I don't have a problem with that, I am just trying to understand what you meant.

    Really cool idea! Going to look through my stuff and see what I can submit. Never done one of these so may be a stupid question but why do you have to rank the entire list and not just what you rank above yours?

    Technically you only have to rank the ones above yours... but ranking the whole list will help my publish an average ranking across all BIF participants (just for shits and giggles)
