How can I get my mitts on some Citra Ninja and/or Rasp Truffle Abduction in the NW burbs? Is the Rasp Truffle only for FwB?

 

I believe the RtA came and went in the burbs already last weekish! Most places seemed to only receive a case and sold out same day the delivered it.

 

No, RTA hit the NW burbs last week but its gone. If stores got any they only got 1 case and it flew off shelves. I heard it was in at a NW Binnys around 3 on Friday and by the time I got there around 7 it was all gone, with a 1 bottle limit.
Citra Ninja on the other hand should be is/was/will be distributed this week to NW stores, so be on the look out.

 

Schaumburg Binny's got 1 case of RTA last Friday. Gone in a blink.

 

Thanks for the info on RTA, I need to pay better attention to this thread so I can get on these quicker.

 

Did they say they were making more of it? RTA that is.

 

Had a Something Hoppy tonight. Awesome beer. First foray into Pipeworks Anyone know when batch 104 was bottled?

 

i'd guess 7 to 10 days ago tops.

 

Mt. Prospect Binny's had Citra Ninja as of about 5:30 tonight

 

Cardinal Liquor in Niles had 1 bottle of Citra left when I left around 8

 

Drove to Binny's in HP today to find some RTA or Citra this afternoon and there was nothing left. All gone in less than 20 hours.

Triangulating from the emails and the label wrapper blowing around the hood, I believe it was on March 19th or 20th. I drank one the 24th and it was a few days "old" by then. should be fresh and tasty still. mmmm...SHCTH is one of my fav PW brews. Bombs away.

 

Thats what I figured, tasted really fresh. Very excited to try some more of these guys brews.

 

In town for the weekend, staying downtow, where would I stand the best chance at tracking down som CN?

 

If you're downtown downtown, Binny's on Grand should be pretty close, but it's also easy to get to the South Loop Binny's or Castle Vav (Lincoln Park Binny's) if it's off of FWB by then. It goes pretty quickly, but not instantaneously.

 

I opened up an Abduction Coffee Break, batch 72 and it tasted like wet cardboard. Seriously wondering what happened to it. I'm afraid to open the second bottle i picked up at the same place. Anyone have any issues with this brew? First time I've run into this issue with Pipeworks.

 

I loved this brew. I had 2 bottles and both tasted like a thin Twilight of the Idols, which was delicious. I have one bottle left that I am saving for DLD. Not sure what happened with your bottle, but I can't see a couple months of age severely diminishing this beer. Hopefully they release another batch soon for comparison!
