I wish I could buy it in growlers at retail stores, like I can Berkshire and Opa Opa and even Blue Hills.

 

Just picked up a few bottles of the ABCS DIPL. It's 7.5% and 100+ ibus. Price is $4.50/bottle. Bummed I couldn't sample, but psyched to try it tonight. Curiously, the Hoponius bottles for sale were from the 2/25 batch despite a batch from 3/25 hitting retail today. Oh yeah, ABCS was bottled today.

 

All 4-packs of Jacks Abby(Hoponius was 3.13.2013) were $8.99 at julios today. tons of BA Framinghammer there as well ($5.99/bottle).

 

Pumped for BA F'hammer and ABCs. Now just need to pick some up at my local. Speaking of Hoponius, Redstone Liquors (Stoneham) tweeted that they got some in today from the 3/25/13 batch. That would easily be the freshest I would have ever had it.

 

With these two new bottle offerings, along with Hoponius Union and Kiwi Rising, I'd be perfectly content drinking Jack's Abby year round.

 

I just opened up a bottle a few minutes ago and am enjoying it now. Its definitely good. I wouldn't quite put it on the level of Kiwi Rising, but thats really not an insult because I think Kiwi Rising is fucking amazing

 

ABCs is similarly resiny in its prevailing hop character to the Kiwi. Different hops, same level of deliciousness! Enjoying a lil ABCs this evening. Possibly followed by a Hoponius growler for comparison... Cheers!

 

My local shop got BA Framinghammer in today but won't be on shelves until tomorrow or Saturday. Needless to say, the anticipation is killing me

 

Reminds me a lot of Abner. Candy coated hops and bitter. Nice.

 

Funny, I just posted the first review for it and mentioned a candi-ish presence in there as well. It's a nice beer, for sure.

 

I would say your review is spot on.

 

Reminds you of Abner but only 3.98? That's a lofty comparison.

All I can wish is people leave some for me...I feel this will fly off the shelf much faster then kiwi unfortunately which I was able to pick up a few bottles a week for a month straight.

 

Same. Haven't gotten a chance to get to a shop this week, but hopefully in my travels this weekend I'll be able to secure a bottle or two or three.

 

Is ABCS a one time brew or is it a permanent addition to the lineup?

 

Love this brewery, have tried most of the beers and was excited for a bolder offering with Framinghammer.

The brew was really good, but it would be great aged for a while, at 10% I'm sure a few months would do the trick.

 

I'm heading to a store now I was under the impression this wouldn't be out till next week but will report back after. Hopefully looking to get some framinghammer
