"ABOUT THE BREW: We can tell you that it's a Russian Imperial Stout, however, it's not the same as the 1st TM Release. There will be some similar characteristics. More details to come..."

I'll be sure to try this in 2 months when we head back up to open the house up for the summer. I'm pretty sure it'll be around still. Brewery only release, and it's probably $20 a bottle still, like the last one.. which is probably still for sale there too. Wouldn't be a bad pick up to see what a year of age did on it...

I just hope they use capped 750's or bombers for this release and ditch the corking.

Speaking of which.. I have a bottle of the 1st TM RIS sitting around still.

Can't wait to get up there though, I enjoy the tap room alot!

$15 capped 750's. I agree, ditch the cork

They still have TM 1,2,3 bottles and they are all $10 this weekend (as well as the chocolate cherry stout and barleywine they did in oct). Will check it out and see in the morning. I do like how you can get these bottles really anytime. Cheers!

Cool comfortable bar and all, but who stays in Bryson City? I bought 2 Trail Magic's last year and would do so again, but they would have to distribute elsewhere, just a hell of a drive.

I was on a road trip with some friends some years back and got lost at the brewery...Man, were we lost, but that turned out great. I think I may need to venture down as soon as I can squeeze a few days off and pick up some of these 750's you mention.

Agreed, but I have a house just down the road toward the lake.. Otherwise, it's a haul to from.. well.. anywhere.

I have a bottle of the 1st, the second was the lemongrass DIPA that was disgustingly medicinal. Ughh. Let down since they have a killer IPA anyways.

The 3rd release was what.... the belgian golden ale they have, but with elderberries in a wine barrel? That one was okay.

The lemongrass DIPA was fabulous on draft & really mediocre in the bottle. Everything that was bright & fruity was gone in the bottle just a week later. I was terribly let down by the bottle, but not by the draft.

Looks like all of their previous releases will remain $10 until sold out. TM4 750's will still be $15. It was a easy drive from Jefferson, GA made for a fun day trip. Cheers:

Anyone local (or remotely local) to the brewery interested in setting up a quick trade. Can offer limited items from Charleston breweries or limited stuff from outside of the region as well. Would be looking for 2-3 bottles of the 1st and 4th releases...unless bottle limits dictate otherwise.

Thanks Adam! Appears I might need to give these a go in the trade forums.

Eh, some of the best breweries are. It was nice having them in Bryson City when I lived in Cullowhee because Heinzelmanchen(sp?) in Sylva was really the only other brewery out in the western part of the state and it remains one of the worst breweries on the planet in my opinion. I recently went to Kern River on a road trip out West and if you think Bryson City is the middle of nowhere, you haven't seen Kernville. That place is 2 hours or more through canyons and mountain passes from anywhere relevant. Totally worth it, though.
