My wife stopped in to grab some growlers yesterday and she said they still had some.

What word is the opposite of hype? Just 240 bottles and it lasts at least a week. Gotta love Seattle.
I keep thinking about picking up a second bottle to cut my average cost to $17.50, then keep getting distracted.
    Ooh, what's that?

Any word on the Fremont Brouwer's Anni Beer? Last I had heard was March-ish...

They teased Tart Cerise in the January newsletter as coming soonish, and have then been absolutely silent about it.

We should also be seeing 575/Haiku/Brouwers Anniversary in bottles shortly. That's at least what was said by the Fremont guys on WA Brewers Open House Day.

I heard from Casey that they axed Tart Cerise completely, it didn't come out to their standards.

Next big release should be the barley wine. I can't wait!

Ah, cool (not cool). I asked about it during the Open House tours, but didn't get an answer. Thanks.

As much as that sucks and I was really looking forward to Tart Cerise, it speaks really well to Fremont that they're willing to axe projects even after their announcement if they don't make it up to standard.

Thanks, Smurf. Well, we should do a tasting for folks that are interested and explain what we mean. Tart Cerise has a coating mouthfeel that we notice and find in other beers from across the country. There is more to talk about, of course, but we have traced down the effect of aging the beer in our not-temperature controlled warehouse to be one factor. On it. Tart Cerise is not bad, it just is not what we envisioned, so why release?

In case anyone missed the info, Fremont said on twitter earlier today that the release of the Brouwer's anny beer should be in a couple of weeks.

From a twitter response to my question today, the Brouwers 7th Anny BA English BW will be within the next few weeks  I love Fremont! The releases are easy, fun, etc. Thanks Matt!

Nat at Brouwers told me the other night that the Fremont Old Bridge Rider was supposed to be the Brouwers anniversary beer......can anyone else confirm this? Nat knows his shit, so I trust him, oh and to second what smurf said, I also heard from Casey that tart cerise got the big bad ax.

Is no one else troubled by the implications these beers pose vis-à-vis the global strategic reserve of bottling wax?

We use only humanely harvested wax from bees that voluntarily deposit it in a tip jar at the UBG.

Same beer but just a bit busy now....the beer tax thing and new silos, etc. the label should be finished next week and release soon...575.
