Yeah, it's crazy. I was on my way to glen ellyn binnys around 4:30 when I saw the tweet from DG binnys. Changed course to DG (figured glen ellyn was probably out). Got there literally @ 4:59. There was a line of about 20 people in front of me. line started moving about 5 minutes later. Seriously got there in the nick of time. I have some damn luck on my side. So yeah, you really have to be on ur A game. I would've liked more to trade/age, but still I'm happy I got just one.

 

South Loop Market had it at all 3 locations today I guess, but it sold out in about an hour.

 

FYI- Bottles & Cans just announced on FB that they are sold out.

 

I don't understand what is up with DG Binny's. They literally sell out so quick while Glen Ellyn stuff (I am pretty sure they get the same shipments always on the same day) sits there for hours longer. Here is a prime example, I saw the tweet from the GE guys at 9am and couldn't get there til 3. Still got a bottle, while meanwhile DG sells out in under ten minutes. Once again they are ten minutes away.

I will keep going to GE Binny's.

 

What's their twitter account? I couldnt find it. Glen Ellyn is probably a lower volume binnys. It's the same with bolingbrook binnys. NO ONE goes there. Which is kinda nice sometimes because u can find some rare stuff.

 

Chicago is an amazing town. Other than the murder rate and limited beer releases. But, there is so much great beer to be had here that missing out on this one is not a big deal.

 

I feel like the opposite used to be true. GE Binny's would get picked over super fast and you could get stuff at DG for a little bit longer. Now it's the opposite. I wonder what happened to the old beer guy at GE, Jeremy, he always used to hook me up with stuff but then one day he was gone.

Jeremy was kinda a clown though with that, he saved too much shit for too many people..... it all dates back to Anthony who was literally the second coming with releases but the community got too big. This dog no longer hunts.

Peruvian Morning is nice and all, but it seems like most of this is just animus.

 

i stopped by vav's work place for his release. the release and the line was unchicago like. i walked in as vav gave out the first bottle, i then waited in line for about 45 seconds. literally.

 

now everyone keep that too this thread so I can still get mah KBS all day ery day.
