Permanent Funeral is better than both, but if I had to decide, Dread gets my vote.

Panzer is a straight up bitter palate wrecker, think ruination but more so. Dreadnaught is an exploaion of flavors with a great balance. Permanent funeral is between the two, maybe closer to APW, really bitter but some of the citrius and pine show through.

Apparently if you vote for APW with an explanation supporting why you prefer it, your post gets deleted.
This time I'll just vote for Pliny.

I wouldn't pass up FFF anything on the shelves...they most likely just got there, especially Dreadnaught, APW and ZD.

You would think, but until these shady breweries all start dating their bottles you just don't know. I had a DN last week that was not from the brewery but rather from a bottle shop notorious for selling old stuff, and I swear it tasted way old. Could not get any hop flavor off it.

Shop I frequent still had a bottle or two of Broo Doo on the shelf in January. With those seasonal releases its easy to know how old it is, the others, not so much.

As to the question at hand, I think I like APW slightly better. Its a straight up palate wrecker (a la super-Ruination like someone said). Whereas Dreadnaught is much more balanced. Both are great though.

There was a thread awhile ago that some guy started titled Apocalypse WOW, regarding FFF Apocalypse Cow. He just bought it a month ago from a bottle shop. It is a June release so clearly it was from last year. So yes, on the seasonals you can tell. You can also tell easily when they're old such as in this case.

Dreadnaught is so smooth and balanced for me it is far superior. I enjoy APW, but I love Dreadnaught. It is my favorite FFF brew with Space Shuttle MF now 2nd.
