Who's getting their KBS today?!?

Don't know of any places selling four packs in the western burbs of Chicago. Everyone is one bottle per customer and almost everyone got just one case.

just got an email saying my area (East side of Pittsburgh) got 2 cases....going on sale at 6pm....at a specific location

You're probably right to an extent, and I never said I didn't. However you don't have to be a complete dick about it. The real point is that these retailers are really taking advantage of people, not just me, and it's completely uncool. I spent a lot of time and effort to get a very small allotment, and to get ***** price-wise after all that just stung a bit.

I am tragically serious. I'd rather be able to land a 4pk for $17.99 (or any other reasonable price) like some people, but this will probably be my only shot at a bottle of this shit, so I'm not gonna fuck it up.

 

Just consider it a "proxy" tax.

 

Sounds like the Lakewood/Cleveland area was the place to get it. Stopped at 5 shops yesterday, scored at 4 of them. Went to another shop today to get some ZD and landed another 4 pack. Expensive couple of days.

 

True but 10 bucks a bottle is still insane. Exactly why Im not chasing anymore. I either find a place that sells it for a regular price and probably miss it because it goes in minutes or find a place thats marked it up to the sky and get *****.

 

Let me ask you this - would you have walked away from the purchase if you had known beforehand? I'm guessing no (I wouldn't). So you shouldn't feel the least bit bad. After all, this is only once a year. Enjoy your well-deserved beers. The few extra bucks doesn't even come close to matching your enjoyment.

 

You will be able to get it at bars around here for $10 a bottle.

 

I got another 4 pack about to be delivered to my house, and after the delivery fee I'm still not paying more than $25 lol

 

I just found out that my normal shop will only get one case, and be selling 1 MAYBE 2 bottles per person. Frown. Oh well, they also *MIGHT* be getting a case of Zombiedust and they saved me a six pack of White Rajah today...so I can hardly complain. Really solid people there.

Anyway, I have a '11 and '12 KBS in the cellar. Think it might be time to pop one open?

Funny, Backwoods Bastard was much harder for me to get this time around, managed to snag 3 singles out of sheer luck. I would say I hope this year I can get at least a full four pack since it's being bumped to a 2-month release, but seeing as how they keep expanding their distribution footprint, I'm not real hopeful on that front.

 

I'm with you. I've never had it before and after some calling around I lucked out and was able to buy a bottle at 2 different stores. I am VERY happy with that...a 4 pack would've made my pants messy. I think disproportionate supply-demand ratio is an understatement at this point. I can't even fathom people procuring multiple 4 packs when a very small percentage of MA stores were lucky to even get a case.

I'm also wondering, of the people who got multiple 4 packs, how many of them are actually sharing it with others (as they claim) and how many of them will be drinking it all themselves? I will be drinking my two bottles myself
