Who's getting their KBS today?!?

I got one bottle from my local store today. I'm definitely looking forward to trying it. I don't that mind I only was able to get one since I wasn't really even expecting to get any. Cheers

 

if your in the Cleveland area, BSpot (Michael Symons Restaurant) has in bottles for $9 each, just had one.

 

To anyone in the DC area, and my apologies for being a n00b (if this is the wrong forum) - RFD in DC just received KBS bottles. Not sure how many, but I'll be there shortly along with anyone else that can make it. See you there!

 

A store that not a lot of people know about that's kind of out of the way got 1 case today around 2pm. My friend that lives 5 minutes away was on his way home so he got there in 15 minutes and got me 2 bottles. Really wasn't expecting to get any this year.

He wants to try it (non BA but he brings over DFH 60 Min, New Belgium mix packs, and some Sweetwater 420/Blue sometimes) so I'm gonna share one bottle with him and give one bottle to Msquared2 since she has given me so much awesome beer for free and shared tons of stuff with me.

As long as there *is* a list, and everyone knows about it. I called a local store on Tuesday to ask when they were getting theirs, and was told Friday (tomorrow). Is there a list? Nope: first come, first served. After hearing through the grapevine that it arrived a day early, I ran over there and was told it's all spoken for on "the list."

I was pretty upset, and they apologized with a $15 gift certificate!

 

After all this, I think I might laugh if this year's batch is infected or something.

 

Yeah, it's insane. Most places are getting 1 case, 1 bottle limit. A lot of places I've called havent even gotten it yet or are even getting it. Called 3 places today and they were gone in less than an hour.

 

Got mine today, my local regular guy told me I got his last bottle. Went to a competitor, all his KBS was gone. BTW - paid $6.50, I was hoping for 3 bottles at least...but got one!

 

Maybe I'll have to check the one in Coloma....

 

so happy! I got an entire 4/pk today! A 4/pk of a beer that has alluded me in the past.
Caveat: I share all my beer w/ a good friend, so in actuality, I only have 2 bottles. But still, I feel phenomenally lucky.

Where In jersey was this, I think that FV 13 price was fair as I've heard it going for 17 for the 375ml

Just as an FYI Martins was charging 11.99/btl today, talk about a markup... Yikes!

 

Hit my regular three bottle shops, all sold out. Stopped at a place where I did not expect any, and they had two 4-packs. Bought them both. Can't wait to try. Will be putting down a 4-pack to try at six month intervals.

When I see other New England people stumbling across a couple 4 packs (or more) and buying them I get a bit angry/jealous considering how little MA got. I fought tooth and nail for 2 bottles and will not be getting more. This state is dry

Got 3 more bottles today for a total of 11. More is hitting the area tomorrow and I could go get another 1-2 but ill pass. Plus I spent that money on a 2010 WWS and a Parabola from a diner me and another BA went to while waiting for the truck to drop off kbs across the street lol.

 

Alot of anger on beer advocate! I traded before and got sweet extras...also sent sweet extras in the past...did tons of leg work to get KBS to share with friends...have come up short on wants in the past, not just beer but life in general. You know what I did? I kept positive and marched forward because I know that crying and pouting in the corner only leaves you wet in a corner. Buck up everyone, if you have something to complain about it means you're alive to complain!

Oh, by the way I'm sending KBS as extras in the BIFs im in unless you were on this site thread acting like a baby, then you get a pic of me pouring you KBS in my dog's water bowl. (won't be taking pics of the repour into my snifter)

Have a local establishment in Maine that we have a great relationship with the shop's owner. He saved a 4 pack for us + 1 ... $6 a bottle too! Also got a bottle of Doom.
