KBS Sightings in NYC

    I was also hot on the trail that day as well... went to NB just as SKI tweeted the photo, when I asked they said they didnt have it and who said they did and I told them to rep/dist, so i ran to Top Hops since it they got it, as i went back to NB they still said they didnt have it, then the younger woman said they in fact did, but it would take sometime to be entered into their system. About 10 min later she told me it was ready and she just pulled 1 out of the case that was on ground behind the growler area

    First place provisions got it today and sold out immediately I guess.

    Any truth to stores actually getting more in the coming days? They seem to think they'll get more soon but he may just be blowing smoke to get me to pop back in.

    Thats funny, me and you were on the same trail! I went to New Beer, struck out, went to Tops Hops and got the first Enjoy By ever in NYC, then hit New Beer to get one, struck out at Whole Foods, got one at Good Beer, hit Wechslers for bratwurst and finished the night at Rattle N Hum.

    For me and New Beer, weird describes it. The place is just sort of weird. I've called or asked about stuff and have gotten back info that's completely out of alignment with reality. They also sold me two bottles of BCBCS for $16.50 after I over heard them telling people asking on previous visits they wanted $25. I was in there maybe two weeks ago and some random guy stocking the shelves went of his way to show me a case of FV 13 they'd just gotten in. I was looking for that and happy to grab some.

    But to keep it on topic, was at WF Chelsea picking up some groceries after work, stopped in the beer section and a guy stocking the shelves there said they were expecting more KBS today, but it didn't come in.

    Tribeca WF also seemed to think they would be getting more cases of KBS. Not sure how accurate this is, though.

    yeah very similar, I thought I got the 1st one in NYC, maybe it was the 2nd sold at Top Hops, but I def got the first at NB

    Any idea if they have any FV13 left? :slight_smile:

    Now to just report them to Cantillon ($60 for Iris, $100 for Fou Foune), Brooklyn ($33 for Black Ops), The Bruery ($40 for Fruet)...

    Well I think the Cantillon and the Westy bottles where stuff they just ordered from Belgium and sold w/o going through Shelton Bros/Union.

    The Iris wasn't - it's been behind the counter for a while at $60. The Fou Foune and Westy stuff is new, though.

    Price gouging horror stories is fun, can I play? Downtown Bar and Grill - Westy XII - 50 bucks a pop.* Non-US version, so that's kind of cool, I guess.

    If anyone is still looking for KBS in Brooklyn and is ok with paying $10/bottle, BM me. Place in my neighborhood has a bunch (at least 4 four packs with no bottle limit.
