    "Vastly" overrated?----Ridiculous

Two hearted and hopslam are amazing--thousands of BAs aren't nuts
Had my first Black Note--on par with the big boys
Oberon doesn't do it for me like it does for others but different forks for different folks.

I also love Founders and about everything they make but it does not take away from many of Bell's offerings. To call it "vastly" overrated is insulting to great beer making.

I could not disagree more. If anything, I have the opposite opinion. If you don't dig Hopslam, I get it, I love it, but not everyone does. But the Oracle is top-shelf as is Black Note. Two Hearted is the gold-standard for IPA's and I've never really had an consistency problems with it, but the stores I go to here in Chicago are pretty good.

I agree with the above poster that you can't really compare kzoo stout and FBS. I can't see the Centennial/Two-Hearted dichotomy either - that is just ludicrous. I don't like Oberon as much as I used to, but my palate has changed - I also don't think you'll find too many people on BA saying that Oberon is they're favorite Bell's beer, but maybe a few. I still like it though on the patio on a hot summer day.

The only real dispute in my mind is between the two Porters. I know a lot of people that like Founders Porter more, but I don't. Different strokes for different folks.

i prefer FFF and as my original post says Founders as well in comparison to Bells. This is what I'm talking about, I even said hate to say it because so many of you are obsessed with Bells. And I think it's good not great, but because of you people I say it's over rated

Never had Black Note, based on what I'm reading I should try it.

The fact that you think its fair to compare one breweries Imperial Coffeee stout to another breweries standard 6% stout may help explain your opinion.

I agree with you OP, even if it's unpopular. And I would take Centennial and many, many more IPAs over Two Hearted.

    I kind of agree.
If Bells distributed here, Two Hearted would be right up there with Stone IPA as one of my most purchased beers. Other than that, I dont think i'd buy much else from them.

Founders Imperial Stout would be the proper comparison to Expedition, both are fantastic IMO

No, not happy. Reviewers as a whole rate FBS a 100 and Expedition Stout a 94 a pretty big difference. The fact that you like FBS better and so do most other people does not in anyway make Expedition over rated. If you think FBS is a 100 and Expedition is a 94 then you think Expedition is properly rated. If you think Expedition is an 80 then you think its overrated. If you think they are over rated then why dont you help the community properly rate them by giving them ratings? (Im not one to talk cause I rarely review but Im also not the one complaining that a beer that I haven't rated is overrated)

It's a matter of opinion. I've never had anything from Bell's so I can't voice my opinion on this one but I find Lost Abbey to be that brewery that everyone loves and I think is bleh. If you don't like it, don't drink it. Someone out there does like it and will appreciate it more than you.
