Sucks is great. Thanks for making it, putting it into bottles and allowing stores to sell it to me. 6, 4, 2, (100?) at a time, I don't care, as long as I can have it, I will drink it.

    It's Hopslam, hands down!

I second hop wallop as well. To answer the OP's question of a DIPA in a 6 pack and something that is available in their area without needing to trade for it, hop wallop and Maximus are the best IMO.

Double IPA, Imperial IPA, 2X IPA, Extra IPA, etc... IMHO are pretty much the same PA. I drink Torpedo at 6.99 per six pack. Good value.

Sucks was fantastic, and while not technically listed as a DIPA but the abv is close to sucks, I really enjoy Heavy Seas Loose Cannon. I had it on cask a while back and it blew me away, it's great bottled as well.

Either 6 bottles of Double Sunshine or 6 cans of Gandhi-Bot!

Recently did a trade with a guy for some DC Brau 'On the wings of Armageddon'. If I lived in DC that would probably be my go to 6 pack DIPA, very tasty. Since I live near Michigan though I'll have to settle for Hopslam. :slight_frown:

Troegs actually calls it an Imperial (not India) Pale Ale. Not sure if that's just a different word for the same thing.

They certainly call it an Imperial Pale Ale but they still use the IPA moniker on the label. It is hard for me to believe this is anything but intentional and that there is no difference between an Imperial Pale Ale and an India Pale Ale in the minds of Troegs.

Hopslam. Steelhead, which is great with risottos and salmon.

For those who haven't have Rampant, if at all possible try before you buy. It definitely wasn't for me, and I've got 5 bottles that I have to persuade myself to finish...

I sold mine back for a buck a bottle to the BevMo guy who glowingly recommended it to me. I then bought a Hop Stoopid. Everybody won.

Those exist? I thought they only came in bombers and 4 packs. Double Jack 4 packs, if I can find them near me, around $20+, hmm.. no, thread not over. Ripoff.
Can't get Sucks where I am, basically the Philly market. Everything sells out so quickly around here. Never even showed up about an hour north of Philly, and by the time I could get to Philly it was gone. So other than Hopslam, good 6 pack DIPAs DNE.
