Stone Old Guardian 2010: Special Early Release

    I was going thru my cellar and I guess I never noticed the small white print stating: "Special Early Release" on this bottle. Did all of the 2010 bottles have this printed on them or is this from an early limited release. I'm just curious.

    Hmmm, good question. I have a couple of bottles in my cellar. Will check when I get home for work.

    the 2009 say "Early 2009 Release" i think

    From memory I think mine did as well.
    But have you drunk it yet? Be curious to hear what you you think.

    Just posted some tasting notes from an OG vertical in the April Cellar Reviews thread over in that forum. 2010 actually tasted kinda off when we got to it. I don't think it was infected, because it was certainly still drinkable, and after 2 years I would have thought that if there was an infection it would have been ruined by now. Maybe I just had a bad bottle.

    I had a 2008 release in the middle of Feb and it said something similar. I think it is just to mean that it is their early year special release. IRS used to say Limited Spring release too(til last year). Just to give a ballpark age if you cellar since they don't bottle date the special releases.

    Yeah, I think it's on every bottle. I checked out someones vertical tonight, 2005 thru 2011 and all of them bottles had it printed on them.
