Stone IRS is released tax day (April 15th US) every year, hence the name/date fun.

Wow really? I always find it around beginning of Nov in my area, does that mean when I buy it then, its already 7 months old? Perhaps the distribution finds old cases and pushes them out?

To be quite honest, that is most likely the case. They're always released April 15th.

Yes, yes they do. They tweeted they got them in last week. While it was pricey, I dug it, so I picked one up when I saw there was some still left last night.

This was a small, yet super satisfying haul. Biere de Mars is a 2008. I'm trying it tonight, and if its still any good, I'm going back to grab the rest of em. The Epic '07 was $10, so i figured what the hell. Iron Throne, I bought into the hype. Only $10, so i'm not too worried. And the KBS? Wegmans. WEGMANS. They had one little pocket on a shelf for the beer. Last 4-pack. Never thought I'd see it there. Booyes.

Thanks for posting about this beer - I was really interested about this one after reading about it.

Thanks to the help of a friend tracked this one down as well - there apparently 2 different versions. One with Lindemans and Hanssens & one with Mort Subite and Lindemans which is supposed to be more sour. Got 1 one of each from the 2010 batch. He made this beer twice - both version, my batch has 15 fruits. there should also be a version that has also Black Albert blended into it but I do not have that one...

Another fruit lambic from Uli should be in your radar is Blondelle Rood. No review for Uli beer on Ratebeer or Beer Advocate ( since he still considered " homebrewer") but it gets some rave reviews ( perfect score --"super .rar AND amazingly good") from respectable BA on Untappd:

I had mine over the weekend and in summation: "I liked it." Definitely worth $12.99, and if you like DIPAs and bal-aged beers, you won't be disappointed. Keep in mind that while there are still some hoppy notes to the beer, this tastes nothing like Double Trouble anymore. Also, the bourbon notes are very sweet. I like sweet, so 750 mL of sweetness didn't put me off, and I drank it slowly while watching a movie. However, if you're not ready for that strong Jim Beam-type sweetness, let it cellar. Little to no boozy burn, so for a fresh bal-aged beer it's not very hot, nor is there much resiny hop bitterness. There's some vanilla, oak, and coconut in there too: reminded me of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale but with a much better base beer. I'm curious to see how this morphs with aging. Who knows, in two years this might taste like Bolt Cutter
