I agree on Torpedo. IF you can find a fresh one it isn't too bad, bit I don't even look anymore since Saga hit at the same price point. I think it is too rare to find Torpedo fresh anymore.

Good beer. Am I alone in thinking it's no more than 6% ABV? I'd guess maybe 5ish, or maybe the dryness just hides it very well. Like the price point too (8.99)

I'm wondering the ABV as well. I'm thinking between 5 and 6. Great beer IMO.

According to Todd via Twitter the abv is 7.3%

Agree, it is very well hidden.

$8.99 at my local. I wonder why the cost difference. Quick note that it was tasty, but hop aroma and flavor was lacking...but I will assess the beer better when my sinuses clear up.

Overrated is underrated at 88, I see it creeping up to a 93. Anything above that and it's overrated.

When I think West Coast IPA I think Sculpin, Nelson, Dreadnaught... ironically I think Bodhi is the best example of the style. Extremely juicy and aromatic with minimal bitterness.

Honestly I hope Surly tweaks the recipe.

I'm going to respectfully have to disagree, when I think West Coast I immediately think torpedo, green flash or other pine/bitter forward IPA's. Surly does a great job of executing this style and your review is underrated bennett!

This. I think I expected more, which is my own fault, I suppose. I found it good, but not great.

    Hell, just start canning Bandwagon.

I found this to be far superior to Bandwagon. IMO

I tried my other can the other night, aroma seemed to pop more then the first can I had. That being said, in regards to IPA's, my frugal self will still spend a couple more dollars for a twelver of Saga.

I obviously disagree, but do admit it's not exactly a fair comparison. Bandwagon was consumed on tap at Target Field, whereas Overrated was consumed via can on my living room couch.

    Apples to oranges...

Good point, and seemingly somewhat different approaches to an IPA. I really like the sort of sticky, topical fruit taste of Overrated. I did very much enjoy Bandwagon, but prefer Overrated. Would be cool if they canned Bandwagon as well.

I love Saga! I had overrated for the first time tonight. My wife and I had a taste test with Saga and Overrated. She loved the Saga. I did s terrible job at a blind test, and she knew which was Saga. As a Summit homer, I need to tell you the Zoverrsted is awesome! .... Just saying.

I don't believe anyone has ever questioned the greatness of Zoverrsted. How could you?
