Illinois is a long way from Oregon. Otherwise I might try to hang out with you.

Needless to say the wife doesn't make it down here very much, one bonus of having a creepy cellar.

I'm using a Breezaire spec'd to cool 240 cu ft. More than twice the actual size of my cellar. Didnt want to work it too hard. About an $800 unit shipped.

Either Amazon or BB&B. I love it because it expands to add more and secures to the wall.

I'm sick of all these "good looking" cellars! Here's my storage closet (cellar). It's not much, but it keeps a steady 55-60* year round. These are some old pics. The good stuff is hiding. Time to play Eye-Spy!

I store all my ~12oz bottles in Banker's Boxes and usually try to keep them organized. The left box is for 1 year storage. The right box is for 2+ years.

I have most of my large format bottles up here. Organized thusly: Stouts>Barleywines>Belgians>Sours
    [IMG]

I'm going to start building racks for them so it looks "fancier"

I like using milk crates, they hold 16 bombers perfectly, but the bombers are too tall to be able to stack crates :slight_frown:

Moved north for the winter from:

Arrival north. Surprisingly (to me at least) the fridge can reach 50 degrees, may leave some long agers there permanently:

Got a new cellar from my friend who doesn't use the cooler anymore. Has three racks that fits 42 beers in each rack plus the bottom is for bombers. Also have a 400
Beer sliding glass door fridge similar to this one that holds my everyday beers. I picked this one up
    Just for cellaring.
