To be fair... I'll do the same for Austin.

And that single downtown Saucer locations doesnt serve the entire Houston metro. There is at least 1 other one in that same Metro area. Those numbers look impressive, but they're just false.

The reason KBS lasted so long at the Austin Saucer is that they didnt announce it beforehand. They literally just sent a Tweet out when it was already on tap, so lots of people didnt know or were at work when it happened. Probably works better that way!

 

Either way we have a shit ton of people here and there are a lot of beer enthusiast as well. We may not be hip or considered to have swag as a city but we enjoy good beer.

 

DT was crazy but very efficient.

They poured every KBS glass as soon as it hit 5 and started passing them out, thats why it didn't last longer than 10 minutes. Looked to be about 100-120 glasses.

Was actually able to score an extra glass of KBS for a fellow advocate who showed up at 5:05 and was turned away, glad I could help a friend out. All in all, good experience.

Also, they did have Doom, which was not publicized before hand. It did work out though to whoever was there. I was actually blown away by Doom.

 

Hay Merchant is being very, very generous with the Founders Brews. Pouring up overflowingly full pints of everything (including Curmudgeon) for $6 each.

Also a couple bartenders say that KBS is on lock down till the 2nd Anniversary - Feb 2014.

 

Saving it for their 2nd Anniv. party is a pretty douche move. Especially, since Founders people will be on site around 2100. This is Founders coming out day. But, it is their beer now so, they can do what they want with it.

 

Must include San Antonio. lol
