Just moved to Tracy and decided to dust the cobwebs off my BA password and look for a shop in town and liked what I found. Everyone knows that a 30 minute drive from here results in better selection but I would rather stay local whenever possible.

I have several friends that still live in Tracy, and they do have good things to say about Pete's and the craft brews the store gets.

It's funny though...they talk great about Pete's and I'm like...well...Not sure if i'm going to The Bruery, Noble, or Bootlegger's this evening (all within 5 minute drive). haha

Not a bad place to be 01Ryan10.. Got my Bruery Preservation shipment today. It would be nice having that many options.

Yeah my buddy and I did some hoping around the east bay a while ago and loved the options the were so close. Started at Drakes, then beer rev, then a couple others... I don't remember because beer rev had so many choices that I couldn't pass up!

It was his second choice, as beerandraiderfan is already taken!

I had fun looking up posting history and setting a line on whether or not OP was still active.

Coming from the Number1Smitty  I approve of this message. Pete's is a great place to grab some "Gems" without having to make those hour plus drives. Andy is all about customer service and tracking down any requests he can fulfill. Don't sell Pete's short. One of my favorites in the area.

I'm there regularly since I live in the shit hole that is Tracy. It's a good spot for beer in the Valley. Hope once they expand they'll have more selection so I won't have to go to other shops for stuff. But the selection they do have is awesome. Nothing worth going out of your way for if you live in the Bay, but for the beer wasteland that is the Central Valley, it's an awesome shop and Andy is always trying to hook up his customers.

We just need more BA's in the Tracy/Manteca/Modesto area.

I'm still confused as to why anyone would want to voluntarily live in any of those towns in the first place. Unless you're a farmer, of course.

Your guess is as good as mine. I'm actively trying to get out. Tracy is still better than Fresno, Bakersfield, Stockton, etc. it's closer to the Bay. However still a shithole.

Hotchkiss. Late 90s. Surprised anyone (even you... or I!) remembers it.

Or, you may also be thinking of Kelly Brothers in Manteca.

Housing is cheaper. As far as I can tell that's it.

That is it. This place is dying for a craft beer bar or something.

i was kind of just giving you shit because you were burning this dude's small town. but, yeah, to be honest, i don't consider Orange to be a hotbed of amazingness. i was there for 2 years for grad school and that was enough for me. maybe if i was into the Ducks and Disneyland i'd like it more. at least you had Bruery Provisions for a while there. that, admittedly, stepped up Orange to another level

Yeah, there's a reason for that. I'd rather live someplace worthwhile where the housing is cheaper, like Central Oregon.

Orange >>>> Tracy. I don't even know how you could possibly make that comparison, unless you've never been to Tracy, or you really like the feel of central valley farm towns.
