I picked up some Southern Tier today at my local specs. I came to get an Endeavour for a trade I'm about to ship out and saw this...

Sure didn't. Got the 6er of 2x and the Endeavours I needed and bailed before I spent too much $

I just popped my 1st one, and I agree. I'm surprised on how light the color is. It looks piss yellow and smells like corn. Weird

Should have got that iniquity, but it was about the same price as the 6er of 2x

Downtown Saucer floated the Creme Brulee keg in 10 minutes.

They should of been handing out insulin shots with each glass. I enjoy that beer and all the sweet and vanilla bomb it is.

I'm not to worried about it. The next batch should come out around June/July. No big deal here.

LOL. Okay, y'all officially win at beer in Houston if they floated Creme Brulee in 10 minutes in Houston. That's a remarkable feat.

I think it's still on in several places in Austin and has been for almost a week.

I had a sip of someone's at the Draught House on Sunday and it's still as sickeningly sweet as I remember. Liquid concentrated sugar.

In store news... I was at CM Westgate today picking up some groceries (and Hops & Grain is on sale for $6.99 so I picked up some more Zoe and Oskar Blues 6-packs are $7.29 as well) and they had 2XIPA (6p), Live (6p), Iniquity, and Unearthly. I bought none.

I didn't think Creme Brulee would float that fast. Hell, the only ST beer people appear to jones over is Pumking. If it was a full sized keg of CB then it went faster than KBS.

I really want to know how much sugar is in a full 1/2 keg of Creme Brulee, lol. I bet it weighs more than a normal keg. Their special releases tend to be 1/4 kegs though.

It would be interesting to know. Even at a 1/4 keg it still amazes me it floated. I understand KBS but Creme Brulee? WTF Willis?

Edit....Makes me wonder how many lurkers are on this and other sites.

It tells me that people will drink beer they probably know nothing about but hear is new and rare. Kind of like why anything new sells out amazingly fast in Houston. Beer poseurs!

There was a keg of Pumking on tap last night at Hi Hat. I wonder how quick that one went (I would have gone but somehow missed their tweet about it. They had cool glassware with it too)

There's about a 95% chance that 2XIPA will be tapped at Big Hops today.

It was probably a 1/4bbl, in which case it doesn't surprise me that it floated that fast. As soon as it became known that 2X and Unearthly were being delivered in San Antonio, people immediately started asking about Creme Brulee. I just hope the Saucer stripped and replaced that line after it floated. Otherwise the next three kegs that go on that tap are going to taste like Creme Brulee. That shit don't wash out.
