Budweiser at least the American one should be allowed to call itself beer so it doesn't count:stuck_out_tongue:

Don't like Dark Horse or Voodoo's labels. Weyerbacher has improved, but I still think they're bottom third. Pipeworks' labels are meh, not awful.

On the other hand, I actually really love Revolution's branding. All the labels are badass and play into the overall theme.

I don't drink labels so I couldn't care less about this stupid topic. Its all about what's in the glass, bottle or can.

I agree, I have passed them over for about a year now 'cause the two guys remind me of Bartles and James but just picked up "finest kind" based on some reviews. Y'all better not be lying.

Old Hickory and Dark Horse both look like they printed them on a 20 year old desk top printer, with bad paper.

yeah, i was gonna say, does this guy know he's dissin on a great contemporary artist :stuck_out_tongue: obviously contemporary art doesn't guarantee its good and much less that everyone will like it but hey, just sayin'.

haha. It would awesome to hear of a case of a craft brew lover refusing to try Pliny cuz it has comic sans on the label, even though it really doesn't. But hypothetically speaking!!! Btw, never tried pliny. :-(

You cared enough to both click on and respond:stuck_out_tongue: and whether youll admit it or not labels have an effect just think if beers didn't have labels noone would have any idea what they were drinking you could end up pouring a bud light when you meant to pour something good my last point is lets say I brew some beer its all from the same batch everything is the same but I put it in bottles using 2 different labels one looks cool one looks bad which would you choose:grinning:

"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man." -Lebowski 1998

wow those are some definitive statements right there.
maybe you don't realize a lot of what we do is lighthearted.
or maybe you just have completely different aesthetic tastes.

i think our marketing is just fine... glad you like the beer i guess.

Lost Abbey. They look like they belong on Affliction t-shirts. I don't wear Ed Hardy, drive a hummer or listen to butt rock; I'd prefer if my beer didn't suggest otherwise.

Just got 4 bottles of your stuff, including Ca$h 4 Golden. I dig the labels, and I definitely plan on keeping them once I finish the beers.. Can't wait to dive in. Wish it was easier to get in CA!

I'm glad you responded and didn't call me a world class a-hole!

I guess I can understand the "lighthearted" approach for the bottle art, but I would really love to see you guys get a website worthy of your world class beer. PLEASE!!! It physically pains me to go to it when I am looking for information.

website is a definite need... i'd say half are labels are great, other half need some cleaning up, better framing, etc, and color adjustments to print. we're just a couple of doods putting out a very tiny amount of beer and because of the name we get compared to breweries producing tens of thousands of barrels... have you ever see Alan Sprints or Ron Jeffries old websites?

I get that you guys are a really small shop. And the fact that not matter what the label looks like, it is the beer that we are buying. BUT, I work in the design/video world and love good design, and love when the products I love, also have good design and packaging around them, and that's why I wished you guys had better artwork that matched the quality of your product.

No haven't seen those old websites. Were they pretty bad? Animated GIFs? Flashing lights? Unreadable fonts?
