Does not taste like a traditional barleywine. Thread on Northwest section. Tastes like a barley-pilsner. Light in color. Nothing like I have ever had. Not a fan...

I'm in Portland, so I'm gonna try it on tap at the brewhouse. I can kinda imagine what it's going to taste like now, but I might as well give it a shot.

For those in San Fran, they'll have all three releases on the 16th at Rogue in North Beach

Just had a bottle last night! Maybe it was the low expectations, but I was impressed. Yes it's not a big sticky candy sugarbomb like what many people would expect: it's mellow and classy, which is clearly the Deschutes evidence. More maple/honey than straight up candy. I don't know if I'd stockpile these but I am definitely happy I got to try it.

I picked up a bottle last night. At $6.99 for a 22 oz, I figured it was worth a taste.

    I'll probably drink it tonight.

I was pretty underwhelmed by the North Coast draft version at Brouwers Hard Liver a few weeks ago. I'm very curious to see ow the Deschutes version goes. I see bottles on shelves in Tacoma, WA area. Looking forward to trying it!

One case of the Deschutes version made it's way to my regular bottle shop so I picked one up last night, can't wait to see how it is!

I have to say it's amazing. Smooth and easy with great flavor. A lot paler than I had expected.

As someone who isn't into barleywines, I was going to pass on this. But reading the descriptions makes me think I might want to give this one a shot, especially if its only $7 a bomber.

Final Gravity in Roseville. A barleywine collab between Rogue, Deschutes and North Coast? Yes, please!

Based on the comments about Class of 88 so far, your not being into barleywines would be a perfect reason to try this one, since it differs so far from the norm...
