Tracy's housing boom was a combination of becoming a bedroom community for Silicon Valley and white flight from Stockton. People were still burning crosses on other people's lawns in the 80s, it still had deep roots as a small, Valley farm town.

And it sucks. Hard. Believe me, Stockton is a far better place to live is you want to leave your house. Unfortunately, so many people don't live that way anymore.

The best option to leaving your house in Tracy is driving the 15 minutes and heading to Livermore. Good craft beer scene. Awesome downtown for a small town.

Oh...I'm allowed to imply Tracy is a shithole. I spent the first 20 years of my life there.

And what "glorious" town/city do you reside in now? Do Tell!

can I just say that the central valley would be so much better if they didn't surround the CA aquaduct with fencing. If I could float down it like a river I would drive through the grape vine so much more frequently. Instead, I cut west as soon as I hit the 152 or whatever that is that takes you to the 101 and Gilroy.

women, no cows, better beer options, better attractions, a 30 minute drive to the pacific ocean(and the portion of it that gets to 70 degrees in the summer), better culinary establishments... etc.

although I will give you that Tracy is closer to San Fran, and well... SF is 100% better than LA in just about every factor. So you got us there haha

yeah our women are about 20 minutes away, sure there is some local strange but you need about 3 simtras for it to seem worth while rofl. about sf, I could not agree more.

The Pump Room of course! I mean...$6 24/oz pours of Stone IPA and $11/pitchers of Stone IPA. Can't go wrong there. Oh, and then there's the bartenders...

I've passed the Pump Room 100s or times and always wondered what the hell it was. I shop at that Fresh and Easy in a pinch... I might have to stop on for a Stone IPA just to tick the Pump Room.

Oh come on! Manteca, Ripon, Ceres, all those little towns are worse than Tracy.

Tracy is the worst city with a population of 100,000+

LOL I don't think there are 100K here. I honestly don't think its nearly as bad as everyone thinks, maybe you guys just don't have friends so you need all this other shit to entertain yourselves. To each their own!

I think it's right around 100k. I think 85K in 2011. And I live here. I have friends and we go out and its boring man. Unless you like BMC beers or house parties, Tracy has nothing. For craft beer, 15 minutes and Livermore is much better. What do you do for fun here if I may ask?

We go to Livermore, have a fuckin blast! Go to great plate and laugh at the senior citizens getting down. Me and my buddies still see broads from high school and shit running through the local bars but generally we go for new blood out in Livermore. We spend most of the days out doors/at the gym so if we don't go out we are already beat from the days activities.

Just proves the point in this thread that Tracy is god awful. You listed 1 activity in Tracy excluding the gym. 1.

Considering that Orange has Hollingshead, Valiant Brewing, and the Old Orange brewery, Noble Aleworks a little ways down Katella and the Bruery plus Bootleggers or Tustin Brewing within a 15-20 minute drive, I'd say you chose the wrong beer city to badmouth.
