Oh, and this is going down in Rochester too for those of you traveling from WNY.

See you all next Saturday, going to be a fun day!! Extended outlook shows a decent day on deck (weather wise) high 50's and sunny. Though, pack your winter gear if you're sleeping under the stars on either Friday or Saturday night.

    Cheers!

Does anyone actually think its necessary to camp out the night before or would coming at 1045 be okay? I'm down for a possible bottle share I have a bottle of Bramble I'm more than happy to share.

Does anyone know the total # of bottles produced/on sale for this batch of LeBleu?

    Off topic but...
I'm planning on going there tonight, is anything going on by chance?

I was planning on showing up a little before the opening time. I thought I remember reading last year that they had Le Bleu for a week. Keep in mind they used to distribute this beer, now all of it goes through the gift shop; minus whatever they bring to festivals of course.

Yeah, even with all the increased hype I don't think going before 10 AM will do anyone any good. This is just too long of a drive for most BAs.

Roughly 110 cases, this years run came up a little short of years past (150-ish). We release over 95% if this beer to the public and keep a little for our 'library'.

This is why we only do this brewery only. Simply not enough to go around to all 32 of our wholesalers. We ended up upsetting more people than satisfying in the 1 year we did distribute it. Last year and this year are brewery only.

At the brewery? Nothing more than business as usual (samplings, tours Sat and Sun only).

We're smack dab in the middle of moving into the new facility, so, like that's keeping us a tad busy.

    Cheers!

I won't be able get there until Sunday. Hope they still have some. I still have one bottle of the last batch of LeBleu. Probably should try that soon....

Are you attending the Erie Brew Fest at the terminal that day too? Several of us are hitting the release then driving to Erie for the beer fest.

Sorry, mate. The Tap and Mallet event is also next Saturday, in Rochester. Only other (local) event going on this weekend is a beer luncheon at the Aurora Inn (in Aurora/King Ferry) tomorrow that I am hosting. Our website has more deets if you're interested.

I think this Heady Topper is going to my head...wait. what?

Sorry again, being from the brewery I ASSumed you were referring to what's happening there. Not sure what the good peeps at the T&M have planned for the weekend other than serving up all kinds of awesome (as per their usual MO).

I'm going back to watching the Masters and enjoying some Good Friday beers.

    Cheers!

I like the idea of a bottle share, but don't see how feasible that is, I do not believe that the good people from Ithaca would tolerate open containers on their premises unless you were planning on doing this elsewhere, I am driving up for the release and wouldn't mind bringing a bottle or 2 to share but don't know how/where that would happen.

For those of you going to the release, Ithaca does discourage drinking in the parking lot and wont allow it. On the other hand (if memory serves me correct), you can LEGALLY drink at Stewart Park and typically guys meet there. Stewart Park is about 4.5 miles north up Highway 13. I am not sre if you can go to Buttermilk Falls or Robert Treman State Parks but I know Stewart Park has been the place to meet.

I am on record for bringing a bottle of TEN and a bottle of Bruery Mother Funker.

It didn't even occur to me that you were from the brewery until after I posted, but T&M was pretty solid except for kicking their Spice of Life keg @ lunch... Such is life and I had to suffer through their 30 other tap selections....

Stewart park sounds good, I look forward to seeing BA-ers there.

Thinking I'll bring up some of the new CL Barrel Select, Brute, Heady Topper, and this years BCBS amongst other things.
