An interesting article about the revival of barley variety Chevallier:

Apparently it was once a popular choice among brewers, before falling into disuse. It will be intriguing to see if it goes from an experiment to a regular crop in the future. Given the current trend for re-visiting older varieties of fruit and veg, I wonder if other barley varieties might come back in the same way.

Don't suppose anyone is close enough to Norwich to go and try a pint?

I'll be in Norwich for the AGM so no doubt a drop may pass my lips.

sadly, I was unable to get along to The Wellington to sample the beer. Too many good pubs in Norwich with a massive choice of beers to drink. Must go back some time.

I still have half a case of the Double Stout in the cellar, wonderful beer.

Plumage Archer. It was in the XX Strong Ale, too.
