    I thought the XXIV was better than the XXIII. A watering hole in Olympia noted for its ability to snag the best recently had XXII on tap. Blew me away.
    Abyss is still the king though. A beer that good still selling in the low teens when so many others are 20-30 per is pretty amazing.

    I was fortunate to have XXIII and XXIV on tap at a bar while in Anchorage over the summer! Both were soooo good.

    I would love to try this beer. I'm a huge fan of the Abyss (one of my top 3 beers) but really tend to like porters even more than stouts so this seems right up my alley.

    There are cases upon cases of the Black Butte XXIV at my local Total Wine. Not impressed. :wink:

    XXII is one of my all time favs. i really enjoyed XXIV too. thankfully i have a few bottles stored away. same as abyss for that matter!

    Ya but not where I'm atttttt Ughhh. Well the abyss is a pretty great find though. And again......we take for granted the beerful place in which we live.

    Thankfully, my father choses to incentivize my academic performance with monthly shipments of all the goods that I dont have access to out here.
