But seriously, the guy who sold it to me looked it up on the computer (he didnt even know what the beer was) and that was the price, so someone likely entered it wrong.

I dont want anyone to get in trouble, though, so if you need me to come in and make up the difference, Walt, let me know and I'll take care of it.

This makes me even more jealous that I wasn't close enough to drive up and grab those...

 

For anyone who missed out on BB1 or 2. Kinda pricey but could be cool.

 

For a dinner at Vic and Anthony's, I would say that's cheap.

 

I originally planned to do a beer dinner at HomeField with all 5, but the BB5 release is estimated at next March. I'm worried that 1 might prove oxidized by then.

So we'll likely do something similar in the coming months.

 

Oh my god... a burger topped with bone marrow custard and bacon sounds like something they hand you at the gates of Heaven. Fuck the beer.

I took my wife, mother in law and myself to Vic and Anthony's in Vegas, with scotch i spent 250 not including tip. I agree that 35 bucks is CHEAP there.

 

It's in the lounge, it's only a burger, and 4oz pours. We're not talking surf and turf here. Yes Vic & Anthony's is upscale but for this menu it looks a bit pricey. If you breakdown price of the beer maybe it's worth $7-10 bucks so you're left with a $25 burger.

I dont mind paying for good food personally. Then again, my wife makes 10k a month. She got me used to 5 star hotels and reTAHded food LOL

 

Did a hot shelf tasting on an 8 week old BB2 today and it was brett-y and amazing.

 

I managed to grab another one the other day. Keeping it for a while.

...two idiots after me ordered one apiece and didn't even know what it was. Sigh.

 

Can't agree more. Not that is wasn't good fresh but it has improved significantly.

I can't imagine either BB1 or 2 being close to past their prime by next March. That said I haven't had a #1 recently..my initial thought was the beer would be good for at least a couple years more
