Because people are dumb enough to pay it.

They even have a Buyer Beware sign at the take-out counter for BA stuff. Lmao.

I get it, BUT, just because they put some vague warning up doesn't absolve them from the fact they they knowingly took $$$$ from people in exchange for a shit product. There's NO WAY they could've tasted that and been like "yeah - not too bad. $20/bottle sounds about right..."

also - its not as if they're some tiny nano-pub struggling to survive and can't afford to just dump bad batches down the drain...

Nice. Glad to hear it. Any particular tasting notes you could add?

Did you enjoy Bully Guppy as well?

Not that you aren't allowed to have your own opinion, but aren't you affiliated with Three Floyds?

    1. Impossible to believe: "an incredible tale of triumph".
    2. Difficult to believe; extraordinary: "the noise was incredible".
Yeah, I think that sounds pretty much like Bully Guppy.

I bet the reason TI is cheaper is the volume, not the quality being subpar.

You're right - it's probably just as "good" as Bully Guppy, but larger volume allowed them to be so generous as to knock $2 off the price...

I wish they would put it on tap to try first, especially with 30 barrels of it

I thought TI was tasty, but everyone has different taste. I think people should try the beer before they start hating on it.

Opened one an hour or so ago and really enjoyed it.

Copied from a text I sent out:

"Sweet apple up front (works here unlike dark lord last year), tobacco, a ton of caramel, dark fruit (dates), a touch of tartness, and some vanilla from the barrel as well. Finishes dry. Really enjoyable an completely different from what i was expecting."

Like I said immediately afterwards though, I LOVE Mother Funker so as always your mileage may vary.

Just cracked one open myself. First impression...Interesting...Right up front you get a waft of Green sour apple, Oak, and Belgian yeast. First sip was an experience to say the least, definitely funky and alot going on. As the other post you get apple, vanilla, carmel, and belgian yeast. Aftertaste is a dry white wine for sure which could be from the Oak barrel.

I can confirm. Just tried it. It isn't quite as bad as Bully Guppy, but it reminded me of it right away. Whatever it is they're doing wrong, they need to stop.

TI is on tap right now at FFF. Per the previous descriptions, this one certainly qualifies as being "interesting." It's funky with a decent mouthfeel, and has a slight acetone character that seems to be masked/offset with the Chardonnay oak barrel. The finish has hints of something akin to chocolate notes, and there is no belgian yeast character apparent in the brew. This is a bottle that will generate good discussion when opening with a group - it is very complex, especially so given the claim by FFF staff that it runs at about an 8.5% ABV.

Bottom line - I initially bought two bottles, tried it on draft after learning they had tapped it this morning, and returned to get a third bottle. Take that for what you will.
